The Role
The Senior Director of Product Design will oversee the strategic direction and execution of FloQast’s product design initiatives with a focus on delivering an intuitive, customer-centric experience. This role will lead a team of talented designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to deliver world-class user experiences. Reporting to the SVP Product, the Senior Director will partner closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to shape the design vision and drive product innovation. This is a key leadership role that will help define how our customers interact with our platform every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Design Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with FloQast’s product roadmap and business goals, emphasizing user-centric design principles and accounting workflow optimization.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing product design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design into the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
  • User Experience Excellence: Oversee the creation of intuitive, visually appealing, and efficient user interfaces, leveraging UX methodologies such as user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Design Process Optimization: Establish and refine best-in-class design processes, including design systems, to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across FloQast’s product portfolio.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor products, and user needs to inform design decisions and maintain FloQast’s competitive edge.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present design concepts, strategies, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the value of design in achieving business outcomes.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for design quality and user satisfaction, using data-driven insights to iterate and improve designs.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of product design experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing design teams. Experience in SaaS, fintech, or accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor diverse design teams, with a track record of building collaborative and innovative cultures.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI design principles, proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and familiarity with software development processes.
  • Ability to align design initiatives with business objectives, leveraging market research and user feedback to drive product innovation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The base pay range for this position is $192,000- $288,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, and Unlimited Vacation.
