The Senior Director of Critical Facilities Engineering is responsible for the uptime and availability of critical infrastructure facilities, leading a data center operations team, developing processes for operational efficiency, executing complex projects, and managing preventive maintenance programs. This role also involves collaboration with various stakeholders to meet business objectives and manage IT equipment installation and maintenance.

  • Find effective ways to keep operating costs to a minimum while maintaining availability and business responsiveness
  • Provide thought leadership across the company for technical facility design and operations
  • Partner to ensure all security requirements are met for access management, video surveillance and legal compliance
  • Stays abreast of current and future business, industry, technology direction and trends to meet business goals
  • Manage key vendors for maintenance and equipment procurement to ensure pricing and availability requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 12 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 7 years' experience in a related field; or 16 years' experience in a related field
  • 7 + years' experience in a management or leadership role for a 24 / 7 environment
  • Experience in data center Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure and other complex critical systems supporting infrastructure
  • Experience successfully leading large complex projects
  • Experience in diverse industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies, and fire suppression systems
  • Experience communicating at all levels in times of crisis
  • Experience thinking strategically and executing tactically
  • Experienced in change management and team building
  • Experience developing leadership at various levels
  • Understanding environmental health and safety programs


Other Essential Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
Travel: 10% -15% for visiting remote facilities and consultations
USD 159,400.00 - 265,600.00
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $159,400.00 - $265,600.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
