Job Family Definition:
Partners with R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain groups to successfully introduce new products into world-wide production. Product Engineers interface with R&D, factory process engineering, Test Engineering and reliability engineering to solve product quality or yield problems. Responsible to sustain products through cost reductions seeking yield improvements. Analyzes samples of defective units/sub-assemblies, reports the results to the appropriate design engineering, manufacturing engineering, test engineering and quality engineering team(s) as well as to the manufacturing group or area and/or vendor where the issue occurred, and recommends or implements changes to the product or process as applicable.
Management Level Definition:
Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:
- Introduces and maintains complex product structures on the global S/4 HANA ERP and PTC Windchill PLM system in support of our NPI and Product Engineering organization.
- Ensures compliance to global and local product structuring guidelines, applying highest data quality and -integrity standards throughout the complete product life-cycle.
- Consults the local SC organization in data model, product structure and data flow related topics.
- Investigates order fall out escalations, identifies root causes and propose fixes.
- Represents PDM in defined regional or global Supply Chain related projects.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-4 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to understand and handle complex processes
- Fluent in verbal and written English and local language.
- Excellent communication skills
