Job Family Definition:

Provides consulting to businesses, functions, and geographies that utilize IT services and drives effective business engagement for IT. Understands the specific goals and needs of the business, function, or geography and represents those needs to the IT organization. Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate members of the business/function/geography organization. Works to align business, function, and geography requirements with IT plans and priorities. Facilitates business, function, and geography involvement in IT projects to identify requirements, gather feedback, and finalize scope. Identifies opportunities for IT to leverage solutions across business, function, and geographic organizations. Establishes effective processes for managing the relationship on an ongoing basis. Communicates IT standards and new IT solutions, processes, and policies to the businesses, functions, and geographies. Connects business/function/geography “customers” with appropriate IT technical resources when technical discussions are necessary.

Provides expert consulting and support for SAP FICO across HPE businesses, functions, and geographies, driving alignment between business needs and IT capabilities. Acts as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, ensuring SAP FICO solutions are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained to meet enterprise financial and controlling requirements. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging deep SAP knowledge to optimize processes, ensure data integrity, and support digital transformation initiatives.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key decision-makers at the top of the business, function, geography or organization as well as key tactical leaders.
  • Uses extensive business knowledge at domain level to drive engagement for the largest IT initiatives. Proactively engages in strategic business planning where there is IT impact; influences overall business strategies of customer organizations.
  • Communicates strategic IT decisions and plans and works to achieve alignment at the top level of the business, function, or geography.
  • Represents the needs of the business, function, or geography during the IT priority-setting process.
  • Identifies leverage opportunities where IT can provide cost-effective, standard solutions to meet the needs of multiple business/function/geography organizations.
  • Actively participates in IT projects to ensure that business, function, and geography "customers" are included appropriately and ensures that they receive sufficient and timely communications.
  • Promotes best practices found in working with one business/function/geography to other business and function organizations.
  • Identifies the need for new IT processes as well as significant improvements to major IT processes and drives the development and implementation of those.
  • Lead from FICO perspective, including local legal compliance requirement implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration and continuous improvement projects across multiple business units and geographies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and align them with SAP FICO capabilities.
  • Configure SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, Tax, AA, CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, COPA, CO-PC, and Banking to meet business needs.
  • Communicate new functionalities, system changes, and relevant processes to business partners clearly and effectively.
  • Engage in SAP integration with other modules like MM, SD, PS, and HCM ensuring smooth end-to-end process flows.
  • Partner with ABAP development teams to design functional specifications (FDS) and oversee RICEFW developments.
  • Conduct and support end-to-end testing activities, including unit testing, regression testing, and UAT in coordination with business users.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, training materials, and knowledge articles.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to optimize SAP FICO processes and solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, timely issue resolution, and high-quality deliverables.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of experience in SAP FICO consulting, including full-cycle implementations and post-go-live support.
  • Expertise in SAP FICO core modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, CCA, PCA, IO, COPA, CO-PC).
  • SAP FICO related modules end to end implementations
  • Regulatory compliance projects experience required.
  • SAFT, e-invoicing, Tax / Vat / Banking / Treasury
  • Strong knowledge of cross-module integration points with MM, SD, PS, RAR and HCM.
  • Skilled in writing detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and collaborating on RICEFW objects with ABAP developers.
  • Experience in SAP data migration, cutover planning, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading FICO efforts and training business users in SAP FICO processes.
  • Experience in development of solution for E-Invoice, Tax, SAFT, DMEE etc. requirements.
  • Knowledge of Central Finance (CFIN) is desired.
  • Finance domain knowledge is desired.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to work in a complex, global enterprise environment and lead across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
