Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Sales Executive will report to the Senior Director, Head of Aetna Sales in the CDB Sales department. This role is responsible for building CDB business in the middle markets, small group markets and distribution channels. This role will also have the responsibility of developing relationships with the Aetna and Meritain Health Field Sales and Service Organization. Managing all business development efforts including marketing, communications, training, and competitive analysis. This role is expected to be in market and travel to key markets will be part of the strategy.
• Identify various ways to increase visibility and value, improve relationships and reputation, and drive results in assigned territory (Nashville and Southeastern United States). Travel: Typically, 2 overnight trips every other week, averaging 4-5 nights per month during peak months (about 8 months per year).• Collaborate with Aetna and Meritain Health to build a quality pipeline of opportunities and continuously look for ways to improve win rate.• Develop a business plan to include a market engagement plan.• Promote sales through in-person and virtual client meetings and industry conferences.• Manage the entire sales process from lead through close.• Generate cross-selling opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other lines of business.• Utilized Sales Force to manage pipeline and work closely with sales operations to develop and deliver proposals timely.• Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
• 4-7 years of experience in field sales and account management
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Sales and Account Management experience of 4+ years in the employee benefits required• Consulting and financial services industry preferred• Excellent analytical skills with a proactive nature • Strong organization skills with a drive to meet deadlines • An affinity for accuracy and efficiency • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge) and Outlook• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Strong planning and presentation skills• An aptitude for prioritization and multi-tasking • Strong collaboration skills • A drive to learn and apply new concepts quickly • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$87,000-$107,000 per year, OTE $214K+
