Team Overview

The Financial Services, Fintech, and Microfinance team is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding TransUnion's strategic footprint across the financial ecosystem in Mexico. The team partners with banks, fintechs, lenders, microfinance institutions, and other financial organizations to deliver data, analytics, risk, fraud, and decisioning solutions that help clients achieve their business objectives. This team reports to the Country Commercial Leader / General Manager and works closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Client Success teams to deliver measurable client value.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial strategy for the Financial Services, Fintech, and Microfinance portfolio, ensuring achievement of annual revenue, growth, and profitability targets.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization, establishing clear objectives, performance expectations, and growth plans for team members.

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders, including business, risk, product, strategy, and marketing leaders.

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships through consultative and solution-based selling.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that increase market penetration, wallet share, and long-term customer retention.

  • Own pipeline generation, opportunity advancement, forecasting accuracy, and overall portfolio performance against sales targets.

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Data Acquisition, and Client Success teams to ensure successful solution delivery and client outcomes.

  • Analyze industry trends, client priorities, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and influence go-to-market strategy.

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and business discussions that drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships.

  • Ensure consistent execution of client segmentation, engagement planning, and sales effectiveness initiatives across the portfolio.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience within Financial Services, Fintech, Microfinance, Banking, Lending, or related industries, with a proven track record of achieving revenue growth and business expansion.

  • Deep knowledge of the Financial Services, Fintech, and Microfinance ecosystem, including market trends, customer challenges, risk management practices, and digital transformation initiatives, to effectively identify and develop commercial opportunities.

  • Experience managing executive-level client relationships, with the ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders on strategic business initiatives and solution adoption.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating commercial leadership, strategic planning, and business development expertise. MBA or postgraduate studies are preferred.

  • Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed environments, coordinating internal stakeholders to develop solutions, execute complex sales strategies, and achieve client outcomes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, and sales performance tracking.

  • Sales forecasting and revenue management tools to accurately manage business performance, opportunity progression, and commercial planning.

  • Data analysis and business intelligence tools to evaluate portfolio performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.

  • Executive presentation and proposal development tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and related business productivity applications) to communicate value propositions and business cases.

  • Strategic account management methodologies and consultative selling frameworks used to manage complex enterprise sales cycles and multi-stakeholder opportunities.
