Team Overview
The Credit Sales team is responsible for helping financial institutions, lenders, fintechs, and other credit-focused organizations maximize growth, manage risk, and improve customer acquisition through TransUnion’s data, analytics, and decisioning solutions. The team works closely with clients to identify business challenges, uncover revenue opportunities, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value. This team reports to the Financial Services and Fintech Sales Leadership organization and collaborates with Product, Operations, Solutions Consulting, and Client Success teams to drive commercial growth. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within an assigned portfolio of credit-focused accounts.
Build, manage, and expand relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and primary commercial contact.
Identify new business opportunities, cross-sell opportunities, and account expansion initiatives that drive revenue growth and client retention.
Manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and regular reporting of business performance.
Conduct consultative sales discussions to understand client needs, business objectives, and operational challenges, translating them into value-based solutions.
Present TransUnion products, services, and capabilities to business leaders, risk teams, operations leaders, and executive stakeholders.
Develop strategic account plans that support long-term growth, customer satisfaction, and increased market penetration.
Partner with internal subject matter experts to develop tailored proposals and successfully advance complex sales opportunities.
Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments impacting the credit and lending industries.
Deliver exceptional client service while effectively managing multiple priorities and maintaining strong execution across all sales activities.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
5+ years of sales experience within Financial Services, Credit, Lending, Banking, Fintech, or related industries, with demonstrated success achieving revenue growth and managing client relationships.
Knowledge of the credit ecosystem, including lending processes, customer acquisition strategies, credit risk management, and market trends, to effectively identify opportunities and position solutions.
Experience managing and growing client portfolios, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships and drive long-term account growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating commercial, analytical, and relationship management capabilities.
Experience using consultative sales methodologies to uncover business needs, influence stakeholders, and deliver solutions that address client challenges and business objectives.
Required Technical Skills
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and account planning.
Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for client analysis, proposal development, reporting, and executive presentations.
Sales forecasting and pipeline management tools to manage commercial performance and support data-driven decision-making.
Business presentation and communication tools for delivering solution recommendations and executive-level business cases.
Project coordination and account management tools used to manage multiple client initiatives, priorities, and deliverables.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Knowledge of credit bureau, information services, risk management, fraud prevention, identity verification, or analytics solutions.
Experience selling data, analytics, software, or technology-driven solutions within Financial Services or Fintech environments.
English language proficiency, both written and verbal, to support collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.
Experience developing strategic account plans and executing client growth initiatives across complex organizations.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and executive communication skills that support engagement with senior decision makers.
