As an R&D Team Leader, Algorithms on the Algorithms team in our Tel Aviv office, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of real-time bidding by leading the development of large-scale machine learning solutions that optimize billions of daily auctions. You’ll lead a team of algorithm engineers while driving the technical direction of models that power bid optimization, price prediction, and marketplace efficiency. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with leadership to turn complex modeling challenges into scalable production solutions that directly impact advertiser performance and publisher revenue.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
6+ years of experience building machine learning and deep learning solutions end-to-end, including 2+ years managing data science, research, or algorithm engineering teams.
MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, with strong foundations in machine learning, optimization, and statistical modeling.
Experience building and deploying production ML systems in large-scale, low-latency environments.
Experience with real-time bidding (RTB) and programmatic advertising systems.
Strong software engineering skills in languages such as Python or Java, with experience taking models from research and prototyping through production.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience building large-scale deep learning recommendation systems.
Experience using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code or Cursor) to accelerate development, experimentation, and code quality.
How you’ll make an impact:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of algorithm engineers, supporting their technical and professional development.
Define the technical roadmap for real-time bidding models, including bid optimization, price prediction, win-rate prediction, and auction optimization.
Own the full machine learning lifecycle, from research and experimentation through production deployment, A/B testing, monitoring, and optimization.
Design and evolve deep learning models serving high-throughput, low-latency production traffic.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate marketplace goals into scalable algorithmic solutions with measurable impact.
Contribute to algorithmic leadership practices by driving technical standards, experimentation methodologies, and engineering excellence across the organization.
