Frequently Asked Questions

Workload Sustainability

Taboola approaches work-life balance by pairing a fast-moving, globally connected work environment with hybrid flexibility, trusted time off and manager support for employees’ responsibilities outside work. Workload can vary by role, client demands and time zone, but employees are given practical ways to manage their schedules, recover after intensive periods and maintain sustainable performance.

  • Flexibility around a global workload: Many Taboola teams collaborate across markets and time zones, which can sometimes require early or late meetings. Managers can offset those demands by allowing employees to adjust their schedules the following day, helping teams meet global responsibilities without treating every workday as fixed. Employees may also swap office days with manager approval when personal or business needs arise.
  • A hybrid model that supports different types of work: Taboola’s current employer-branding materials describe a hybrid schedule with up to two remote days, combining in-person collaboration with quieter time for focused work. An advertising account manager in Milan said, “Taboola’s hybrid model gives me the perfect balance of energy and focus,” describing office days as valuable for relationships and remote days as useful for concentrated execution.
  • Time off built on trust: In the United States, employees have flexible time off, while other locations provide vacation, sick leave and public holidays aligned with local markets. In Taboola’s 2026 workplace certification survey, 97% of employees said they are able to take time off when necessary, indicating that leave policies are supported by a broader expectation that employees should be able to disconnect and manage personal responsibilities.
  • Managers recognize life outside work: Taboola’s approach relies partly on managers understanding that employees have family, health and personal commitments beyond their roles. A senior advertising sales manager said remote days reduce commuting time and create more room for exercise, relationships and family life. Under Taboola’s global parental policy, permanent employees designated as primary caregivers can receive 26 weeks of leave at 100% base salary and return for two months at 80% of contracted hours while receiving full-time salary; eligible secondary caregivers can receive up to eight paid weeks based on tenure.
  • External signals:
    • Work-life balance: Employees rate Taboola 4.3 out of 5 for work-life balance, making it one of the company’s strongest-rated workplace categories. (Glassdoor)
    • Manager understanding: Reviews frequently highlight caring managers, schedule flexibility and respect for employees’ lives outside work. (Glassdoor; Comparably)
    • Results-focused trust: Employees describe a culture that emphasizes delivering results while giving people autonomy over how they organize their work. (Comparably)
    • Workplace recognition: Taboola earned Great Place To Work Certification across 10 countries in 2026, with 97% of surveyed employees saying they could take time off when necessary. (Great Place To Work)

Bottom line: Taboola balances a high-energy global workload with hybrid work, flexible scheduling, trusted leave and manager support, giving employees tools to meet business demands while maintaining time for their health, families and personal lives.

Flexibility Options

Taboola approaches flexible work as a balance between in-person connection and employee autonomy, using a hybrid model that gives teams dedicated time for collaboration and focused work. The company also allows practical schedule adjustments around personal needs, travel and cross-time-zone responsibilities, with managers helping employees apply flexibility in ways that support both performance and team coordination.

  • A structured hybrid rhythm: Taboola’s current employer-branding materials describe a hybrid schedule with up to two remote days. Office days support relationship-building, brainstorming and faster cross-functional coordination, while remote days provide space for concentrated work and reduce commuting time. A senior advertising sales manager said working remotely twice a week creates more time for exercise, friends and family while helping employees return to the office recharged.
  • Flexibility within the workweek: Employees may be able to exchange scheduled office days with manager approval when personal or business circumstances require it. Teams can also adjust working hours after early or late meetings with colleagues in other regions, helping employees manage global collaboration without requiring the same schedule every day. These arrangements reflect an emphasis on outcomes and communication rather than rigid presenteeism.
  • Options that support mobility: Taboola employees may work from another company office for one or two days while traveling for personal reasons, subject to coordination and local requirements. This gives employees a limited way to remain connected and productive without turning the hybrid policy into a fully location-independent model. Company-provided devices and digital collaboration tools such as Slack and Google platforms help teams stay aligned across settings.
  • Flexibility during major life changes: Under Taboola’s global parental policy, permanent employees designated as primary caregivers are eligible for 26 weeks of leave at 100% of base salary and can return for two calendar months at 80% of contracted hours while receiving full-time salary. Eligible secondary caregivers can receive two, four or eight paid weeks depending on tenure. An HR director described having two work-from-home days as “priceless,” particularly for managing family responsibilities while remaining engaged in her career.
  • External signals:
    • Strong flexibility sentiment: Employees rate work-life balance 4.3 out of 5 and frequently identify hybrid work as a workplace strength. (Glassdoor)
    • Autonomy and trust: Reviewers describe a results-focused environment where employees have space to organize their work and managers are understanding of personal needs. (Comparably)
    • Supportive day-to-day experience: External feedback connects flexibility with caring leadership, manageable commuting and a positive balance between professional and personal priorities. (Glassdoor; Comparably)
    • Workplace recognition: In Taboola’s 2026 workplace certification survey, 97% of employees said they were able to take time off when necessary, reinforcing the company’s broader flexibility and work-life support. (Great Place To Work)

Bottom line: Taboola’s flexible work approach combines a consistent hybrid rhythm with manager-supported adjustments, cross-office options and family-focused flexibility, giving employees autonomy while preserving the collaboration and relationships built through regular in-person work.

Mental Health Support

Taboola supports employee wellbeing through confidential mental-health resources, locally tailored healthcare programs, fitness offerings and workplace practices that encourage people to seek support when they need it. Its approach extends beyond formal benefits by giving managers and teams tools to create a psychologically safe, respectful environment where employees can sustain both personal wellbeing and professional performance.

  • Confidential mental-health support: Employees can access region-specific counseling and wellbeing resources for themselves and, in some locations, their family members. In the United States, SupportLinc provides confidential, around-the-clock assistance and up to five counseling sessions per issue, while employees across Europe may have access to psychological specialists, counseling, virtual healthcare and wellbeing applications selected for local needs.
  • Psychological safety within teams: Taboola leaders emphasize an environment where employees can speak openly, ask for help and take thoughtful risks without fear of blame. The country manager in Milan said, “We prioritize psychological safety,” connecting sustainable performance with emotional intelligence, autonomy and adult-to-adult communication. Employee-led one-on-one meetings also give team members space to raise concerns, discuss development and shape conversations around what they need to succeed.
  • Physical wellbeing and healthy routines: Depending on location, employees may receive access to fitness platforms, gym or sports activities, nutrition resources, group exercise and wellness programming. Taboola offices can also include quiet areas, ergonomic workspaces, meditation spaces and recreational facilities that give employees different ways to recharge during the workday. These programs complement medical coverage and virtual healthcare resources rather than treating wellbeing as a single benefit.
  • Community as a source of support: Employee resource groups such as Taboola Families, TaboolaHer, Taboola Pride and SOMOS Taboola, create communities where colleagues can share experiences, build relationships and access peer support. Local events, volunteering and team activities further strengthen social connection, which can help employees feel less isolated across a global organization. An advertising account manager said the company’s “diversity and community” create an environment that encourages people to think differently and aim higher.
  • External signals:
    • Wellbeing and balance: Employees rate Taboola 4.3 out of 5 for work-life balance and frequently highlight caring colleagues and supportive managers. (Glassdoor)
    • Respectful environment: Reviewers describe leadership as human, understanding and willing to give employees room to succeed. (Comparably)
    • Positive workplace culture: External feedback emphasizes trust, kindness, inclusion and strong interpersonal relationships as defining parts of the employee experience. (Glassdoor; Comparably)

Bottom line: Taboola supports mental health and wellbeing through confidential professional resources, psychologically safe leadership, fitness and healthcare programs, and employee communities that help people feel supported both at work and beyond it.

Mental Health Support

Taboola has been consistently recognized by outlets like Digiday, Built In, Great Place to Work, and Campaign for its work-life balance and culture. In the US, this extends to family support, including paid parental leave and pre-tax Dependent Care accounts for expenses like daycare, summer camps, or elder care plus optional discounted benefits (pet insurance, legal assistance, and identity theft protection) conveniently paid through payroll.

Taboola Employee Perspectives

At Taboola, we are proud to support our working mothers around the globe and create a nurturing environment where they can thrive. We understand motherhood’s unique challenges and rewards and believe these women bring invaluable perspectives and strengths to our workplace. That’s why we’ve implemented a range of benefits and policies designed to support them in their roles as both employees and parents.

In Thailand, we recently celebrated Mother’s Day, known locally as Wan Mae. In honor of this occasion, we interviewed several of our own amazing working mothers to learn about their experiences at Taboola and hear their advice.

Parental Leave Policies Create The Foundation For Family

Becoming a parent is a significant life event. It is a time filled with firsts, excitement, joy, and stress (let’s be honest!). Our parental leave policies ensure mothers and all caregivers have ample time to spend with the newest addition to their families and can return to work feeling energized and supported.

Taboola offers all primary caregivers:

  • 26 weeks of paid leave, starting from the child’s birth or adoption date.
  • Return-to-work flexibility: During the first two months, caregivers may work at 80% while still receiving full-time pay.

Taboola provides secondary caregivers with paid leave based on their tenure:

  • First-year employees are given two weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Second-year employees are given four weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Employees in their third year or more are given eight weeks of paid parental leave, which can be taken consecutively or in two separate four-week periods.

How have these policies worked out for Taboola’s parents?

Chloe Trolliet, Sales Support Team Lead, loves cuddling with her 3-week-old son Archie and seeing him smile. She deeply appreciates Taboola’s maternity leave policy. It has allowed her to bond with her newborn and create unforgettable family memories during these early weeks.

Chloe’s Best Advice: Embrace the journey of motherhood with the support of a strong network, both at home and at work.

Tomoko Jazmines, Head of Growth and mother to one-and-a-half-year-old Rui, echoed Chloe’s sentiment. She told us she’s thankful for Taboola’s supportive parental policies and overall workplace flexibility, which have allowed her to spend quality time engaging in her and her son’s favorite activities, like singing, dancing, and swimming.

Tomoko’s Best Advice: Be flexible and know not everything will go as planned. Make a conscious effort to stay off devices at home and maintain open communication with your partner to stay aligned on family responsibilities.

Maddie Turk, Senior Sales Enablement Lead, credits Taboola’s maternity leave and work-from-home (WFH) policies as key factors in her decision to continue working. These policies have enabled her to balance professional responsibilities with family life, so she never misses an opportunity to sing and dance to her 1.5-year-old son Leland’s favorite songs.

Maddie’s Best Advice: Be present for your children and ensure your work hours are balanced with quality family time. Use schedules to stay organized and to plan activities that both parents and children can look forward to.

Prioritizing Balance With Flexible Time Off & Hybrid Work

In many locations, Taboola offers unlimited paid time off (PTO) and a hybrid working environment with three days in the office and two days working from home. We trust our employees to take time off to recoup when needed, unwind on family vacations, and then return to work feeling refreshed and ready to take on the next project.

Pratana (Pam) Khoongumjorn, HR Director, describes the opportunity to WFH twice weekly as “priceless.” Despite the occasional chaos of having her 2-year-old son Preston at home, she cherishes the extra time with him during these precious early years, especially when they head out to the yard to kick a ball around, a favorite activity of theirs.

Pratana’s Best Advice: Avoid unnecessary stress by embracing “forced prioritization” in your personal and professional life and be mentally prepared for unplanned changes.

Dahlia Solski, Director of Publisher Professional Services and mom to 3-year-old Leo and 15-month-old Olivia, treasures the flexibility Taboola provides. Working at her own pace helps her maintain a healthy work-life balance, manage her time effectively, and still have plenty of time to read to her kids and let loose during family dance parties.

Dahlia’s Best Advice: Embrace the flexibility employers offer and structure your schedules to maximize quality time with your children.

ERGs Deliver A Community of Support

DEI is not just a buzzword at Taboola; it’s part of our fabric. Our leadership believes that diversity and collaboration lead to better and more impactful business decisions, so they have set an ambitious goal: by 2025, 45% of all promotions and new hires, including key leadership roles, will be filled by women and/or racially diverse employees. To further support a culture of diversity and inclusion, Taboola has many ERGs.

Two of the ERGs that support working mothers are:

  • TaboolHer: As the official Taboola Women’s Collective, this group works to highlight the value women bring to the workplace and to make Taboola a company where women choose to grow by bringing the entire organization together to celebrate the contributions of female Taboolars.
  • Taboola Families: This group strives to create a community among current and prospective parents while also representing parents’ needs and perspectives at Taboola. While priorities are based on members’ input, they come together for education, sharing, mentorship, and events.

Naomi Kono, Senior Marketing Manager, is a single mom living abroad with her 12-year-old son Joe. When they aren’t traveling the world together, Naomi focuses on work (and Joe, of course!). She appreciates Taboola’s family-friendly environment, particularly the ability to bring her son to the office, which allows her to share her work life with him and fosters mutual understanding and support within the family.

Naomi’s Best Advice: Build a strong support network of friends, teachers, nannies, and colleagues. Seek help and support other parents when they need childcare solutions or help tackling different challenges.

Taboola is committed to creating a supportive environment that empowers employees to thrive at work and home. The experiences shared by our incredible mothers in Thailand are a testament to our ongoing efforts to foster a culture of flexibility, understanding, and community.

Stage 4 Cancer : A YEAR ago, while checking my mother’s reports, I received this diagnosis.

Shocked. Broken. Lost.

My mother - My life. Coming from a middle-class family, it wasn’t easy, but she gave me everything she had, she made me what I am. It was time for me to pay back for all her sacrifices.

What hit even further: A call from Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd

“Hey Richard, the insurance you’ve been paying for over 10 years doesn’t cover cancer completely, and the cover is barely enough for 20 days.”

I spoke to a few people at Taboola: Should I quit and go back home? Should I sell my home and take care of my mom? How do I manage work?

They all asked me one thing: “Will doing any of the above make things better or worse?”
And they all recommend me one thing: “Let’s figure this out as a team.”

And This is what they did.

-The force got together to raise funds for my mom.
-The force got together to check on my mental health, they ensured I didnt break down
-The force got together to make sure work was taken care of while I was away.
-The force made sure I could spend time back home in India and dedicate all my attention to my mom.

This is a small reflection of what the people at Taboola have been to me.
⭐ They lift me up.
⭐⭐This is what makes a company what it is.
⭐⭐⭐This is what culture looks like.
⭐⭐⭐⭐This is Taboola. This is why we are the best place to work at.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is why we are proud TABOOLARS

Taboola Employee Reviews

The parental leave policy at Taboola is unmatched by anywhere else I’ve heard of. Six months of maternity leave allowed me to spend invaluable time with my little one and transition back from leave feeling more ready than I would have been at the standard 12-week mark. Our management here supports the importance of family and mental health, and I appreciate that I’m seen for the other roles I play in my life other than just as an Account Manager.

Taboola's hybrid model gives me the perfect balance of energy and focus. Being in our Milan WeWork right by the Duomo is invaluable—not just for collaborating with the Italy team, but for the lively, community-driven atmosphere and great amenities (including the best restaurants!) it offers. Then, working from home in Monza on Wednesdays and Fridays is a game-changer. It saves me the commute and provides the quiet, uninterrupted time I need for deep strategy work and Enterprise client calls. It truly gives me the absolute best of both worlds.

As a relatively new employee, being in the office three days a week has helped me meet people in person, sit in on in-person meetings as I ramp up, and just generally socialize with my coworkers in a way I wouldn’t be able to if we weren’t in the office together. Having two days a week to work remotely saves me time on commuting, gives me back time to work out and to be with friends and family. Oh, and being able to work at home with my cat in my lap is a big benefit!
