As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team.

This is a high-profile, client-facing role where you'll lead the successful delivery of complex business and technology transformation programmes for some of the world's leading financial institutions.

If you're passionate about delivering large-scale projects, managing senior stakeholders and driving successful outcomes in fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager at FNZ, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working across multiple teams, locations and stakeholders, you'll lead project delivery throughout the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation and business readiness.

You'll act as the central point of coordination between clients, internal delivery teams and third-party suppliers, ensuring projects remain aligned to business objectives while proactively managing risks, dependencies and commercial considerations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Drive adherence to FNZ's Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and governance framework.
  • Monitor project performance, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans where required.
  • Manage project finances, forecasting and reporting to ensure effective budget control.
  • Provide accurate and timely project updates, reporting and management information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate operational readiness activities, ensuring successful transition into production.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Act as a trusted delivery partner, providing clear communication and leadership throughout implementation programmes.
  • Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Work collaboratively across FNZ functions to ensure effective planning and execution of project deliverables.
  • Manage third-party supplier relationships and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.

Risk, Commercial & Regulatory Management

  • Identify, manage and resolve project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
  • Monitor project impacts on commercial agreements and escalate concerns where appropriate.
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are incorporated into project plans.
  • Support delivery of projects that meet both client and regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and motivate distributed project teams across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practices across the wider project management community.
  • Drive strong team engagement and ensure project teams are aligned around common objectives.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex business or technology projects within financial services.
  • Strong project management experience gained in a software delivery, technology, consulting or transformation environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience managing project budgets, risks, governance and reporting.
  • Strong client-facing skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within wealth management, investments, pensions, life insurance or broader financial services.
  • Experience delivering platform implementations, digital transformation programmes or software development projects.
  • Knowledge of programme and project delivery methodologies.
