We're looking for a Product Specialist to be Halter's boots on the ground as we launch Halter in South America. This is a pioneer role. You'll be working directly with our earliest producers as we deploy Halter onto their farms, learning what it takes to make the product work brilliantly in this environment, and feeding those insights back to the rest of the company so we can build and iterate accordingly.
You'll work closely with Halter's HQ in New Zealand and our commercial teams in South America to make sure the product delivers undeniable value from day one and that we're building the right things for South American producers.
Halter is one of the world's fastest-growing agritech companies, and the most transformative technology available in pasture-based grazing. With Halter's cattle collars and app, producers can virtually fence and shift their cattle, and proactively monitor cattle locations and behaviour.
We're looking for big thinkers who know how to get stuff done — people who are natural problem-solvers and are comfortable in a dynamic, high-energy environment where they'll be challenged daily. Our ideal person is someone deeply committed to understanding our product and our customers' needs. Above all, you'll care about the cattle and the producers who work with them, and you'll champion their interests across Halter.
National and International travel will be required in this role.
About the role
What your day could look like:
Getting out onto farms to help deploy Halter with our first customers — this is hands-on work, not desk work.
Building close relationships with our pioneering producers, deeply understanding how they operate, and learning what the product needs to do to deliver real value in this context.
Feeding those learnings back clearly and rigorously to our product and engineering teams in New Zealand, so we're always building what matters most.
Helping us understand the nuances of South American cattle production. The animals, the land, the practices and sharing that context throughout the company.
Thinking critically about the product end-to-end and identifying what we need to fix, improve, or build next.
Working with our first customers to make sure they're getting the most out of Halter and seeing real results.
Partnering across the commercial team to maintain strong alignment as we scale.
Whatever else it takes to make Halter succeed in South America.
What we're looking for:
Experience working in South American cattle production. This is a must-have.
Passionate about animals and the future of agriculture in the region.
Tech-savvy and genuinely curious about how our product works under the hood.
A strong communicator who can translate what they're seeing in the field into clear, actionable feedback for a remote product and engineering team.
Proven ability to think critically about a problem and reach strong, innovative conclusions
Comfortable with ambiguity. This is an early-stage market entry and things will be imperfect; you'll thrive on that rather than be frustrated by it.
Fast learner with the drive to work hard alongside a team doing things that have never been done before.
A get-stuff-done attitude with the resilience to push through challenges.
Willing to travel and work flexibly, including weekends when needed.
Spanish fluency required; English proficiency a strong advantage for collaborating with HQ.
