Founded in 2019 and part of Y Combinator's 2020 cohort, Photoroom is the leading visual solution for e-commerce.
We've raised Series B funding and reached 300+ million users worldwide, processing over 5 billion images annually and serving both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through our mobile app, web platform, and API.
We're a remote-friendly team of 100+ passionate builders giving e-commerce businesses superpowers to create visuals that help them grow, making the hardest parts of selling online disappear. We focus on craft, innovation, and collaboration, creating exceptional impact for e-commerce businesses worldwide.
We're looking for a Product Manager to own the editor: the surface every Photoroom user touches, on iOS, Android and the web. You'll sit in our Product Foundations team, whose mission is to build the core experiences that power Photoroom. You will work on the last-mile editing problem, giving users control with fine-grained edits for photos and videos. Working closely with engineers, designers, and the PMs who depend on you, you'll decide what gets built, why, and how it ships.
Location: Paris, Ile de France (Hybrid)
Own the single- and multi-image editing experiences end to end. Build one unified visual editing experience across three platforms, iOS, Android, Web and API.
Integrate visual editing experiences within chat editing. Photoroom gives users the ability to start with AI generation and then graduate into fine-grained editing tasks. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our researchers and engineers to make sure our users can traverse the full editing journey in Photoroom.
Define the problem before the solution. Sharpen the user problem, then partner with design and engineering to ship work that feels effortless. On a surface this heavily used, the difference between "works" and "feels right" is the whole job.
Stay close to the user. Talk to e-commerce sellers every week, watch them edit, and feed what you hear directly into roadmap decisions.
Use data to decide, not to justify. Pull and interpret data yourself, including crash rates, latency and cross-platform parity, to form hypotheses, measure what shipped, and call what's next. You won't need to wait around for someone else to run the query.
You've shipped products people love. Five+ years as a PM, with multiple launches where you’ve convincingly solved the user problem and delivered business value.
You've owned a creative product surface. An editor, a canvas or another tool where you are giving a user creative control.
AI has reshaped how you work. You use Claude or equivalent every day, for prototyping, testing with users, or automating the parts of the job that used to fill your calendar. The value you bring sits in strategy and direction, not in writing tickets.
You have demonstrable product taste. You can show specific work where the details matter and explain the calls you made, including the ones you'd make differently now. Craft in an editor is measured in milliseconds and pixels.
You create clarity from ambiguity. Given a fuzzy problem, you take action rather than waiting for direction: you structure it, decide what matters, and move.
You're data-fluent. You pull, interpret, and challenge data yourself, and use it to form a point of view rather than confirm one.
You thrive in small teams with high autonomy. You can ship without being managed, and can operate in a fully remote, async-first environment that offers no scaffolding around you.
Nice to have: experience building creative tools or any product where craft and visual quality matter; an understanding of photography or videography; experience shipping native mobile alongside web; entrepreneurial experience (you've started, built, or run something).
