Job Family Definition:
Responsible for managing technology commodities/categories worldwide, with a dual focus on Software (applications, SaaS, licensing) and Telecom (connectivity, network services, mobility) that support different business unit and Global functions WW. Includes setting and executing category strategies; run competitive process (RFx) to meet internal customer requirements and financial objectives; supplier contracting and negotiations; supplier qualification; and establishing quality processes / resolving quality issues. Emphasis is on strategy, supplier development, negotiations (Contractual and commercial), business relationships, quality, cost, assurance of supply, and predictability across both the technology ecosystems. Develops the company's procurement strategies, policies, and tactics required to achieve objectives. Primary objective is to reduce the total cost of ownership across software and telecom spend while meeting demand requirements, business/quality specifications, and revenue goals.
