Curant Health is searching for a PRN Pharmacist to join its team in El Paso, TX. This position is primarily responsible for managing the prescription fulfillment process from within the pharmacy. This position serves as a link between patient, physician and pharmacy by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily completion of all quality assurance activities related to dispensing prescriptions prior to fulfillment in accordance with the organization's policies and all applicable laws by following standard operating procedures.
- Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, overseeing supportive personnel, HIV Regimen review, drug interaction reviews, drug utilization reviews, filling/dispensing of medications, prescription pre-check in MedPlan, receiving of medication order from distribution centers, point of sale, and patient counseling.
- Fosters an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect through effective communication, and demonstrates positive communication skills evidenced by effective working relationships.
- Proficient in completing all aspects of daily prescription processing duties in Pioneer Rx and MedPlan.
- Effectively communicate with other departments via MedPlan to resolve quality assurance issues prior to cycle filling.
- Have a general understanding of and perform in compliance with all applicable accreditation standard practices including Specialty Pharmacy URAC standards,
- ACHC Specialty Pharmacy, and NABP digital pharmacy.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a retail or mail-order pharmacy environment preferred.
340B knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA/ Patient Confidentiality Guidelines required.
