Why FareHarbor?
Founding FareHarbor required unwavering passion. Turning a start-up into the world’s leading and largest reservation software for tours, activities, and attractions required relentless dedication and vision. To date, we’ve helped over 20,000 global businesses operate successfully and are proud to have played a role in enabling business owners to live their dreams.
And since day one, we’ve known that our real success lies in our people—the Ohana.
With each new feature launched and new client onboarded, there is a team of incredible people behind the scenes who are full of dedication, passion, energy, and the will to succeed. And we believe our leadership fuels the success of our people, our business, and our clients. Our Leadership Anchors guide how we work together and lead with purpose to inspire success and drive impact. We encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work—to believe in their abilities, to freely express their creativity, and to contribute with their own uniqueness by wearing their true colors. We take care of one another and always prioritize health and wellbeing. We give our people the space and trust to learn, to try, to succeed, to collaborate, to think outside of the box, to make mistakes, and even to fail. And then we come together to try again.
From the minute you join, you have a voice. You find your space. You make an impact. We celebrate our victories, shout our successes, and are always eager to tackle new challenges. And we can’t wait to see all that’s to come.
About the Role
FareHarbor is seeking a high-leverage Principal, Strategic Programs to drive our critical growth initiatives. This is a high impact role designed for a "closer" who can balance aggressive market expansion with high-impact cross-functional projects.
You will primarily own the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic roll-ups—identifying and acquiring client bases to expand our portfolio. When not closing deals, you will serve as a lead for important leadership initiatives that require dedicated program management and steer to succeed.
What you’ll do here:
Key responsibilities:Strategic Roll-Ups & Market Expansion
- Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and qualify targets for "asset-light" acquisitions (primarily client books) in our target markets.
- Deal Leadership: Lead the full cycle—from founder outreach and relationship building to valuation, negotiation, and closing.
- Migration Planning: Work closely with Commercial and Onboarding teams to ensure a seamless transition for acquired client bases, protecting revenue and minimizing churn.
- Executive Stewardship: Provide timely data-driven updates to the Leadership Team on pipeline health, deal terms, and projected ROI.
- High-Impact Initiatives: Execute priority programs sourced from the Office of the CEO. These are dynamic, high-stakes projects that require dedicated senior oversight to move from "idea" to "result."
- Cross-Functional Steer: Provide the "connective tissue” between cross-functional teams to ensure these projects hit their milestones and deliver ROI.
- Operational Rigor: Apply a structured, analytical approach to ambiguous business challenges, ensuring the leadership vision is translated into operational reality.
- Closer: You excel at "founder-to-founder" level conversations. You can build rapport quickly and navigate the nuances of convincing a business owner to transition their clients to FareHarbor.
- "Swiss Army Knife": You are as comfortable leading a technical project kickoff as you are negotiating a contract. You thrive in a dynamic environment where the "internal" half of your role evolves based on the company’s highest-priority needs.
- 8+ Years of Experience: Proven background in Strategy & Operations, Partnerships, and/or Business Development. Experience in SaaS and travel tech is preferred.
- Autonomous: We need a professional who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and minimal ramp-up time.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of managing high-velocity deal flow and successful client migrations.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with high accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Benefits:
- Global leave benefit
- 22 weeks paid parental leave
- 2 weeks paid grandparent leave
- Extended care and bereavement leave
- Life insurance policy
- Pension Plan
- Central Amsterdam Location
- Discount CZ insurance
- Working in a multicultural environment - 45 different nationalities
- Commuting allowance for public transport & subsidized lunch
- Wellness benefits (Headspace subscription & wellness webinars)
- Hybrid friendly
- Work-from-home assistance
- Educational Opportunities
- Individual skill development & growth programming
- Social hours & events and team-building
- 26 vacation days per year
