In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you will do:

Responsibilities:

• Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software system design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Private Cloud BU
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with the technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of software application design and development innovation and excellence.

What you will need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
  • Typically, 12-15+ years’ experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong programming expertise in Java, Groovy or C++, with additional experience in Python or Golang.
  • Deep expertise in software systems design, development methodologies, design patterns, and integration across diverse platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and integration workflows, ensuring concurrency-safe and extensible solutions.
  • Proficient in cloud-native concepts and security practices, including identity, tokens and access management, firewalls, VPNs, and secure networking.
  • History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in software design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
