Job Description

Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming our Manufacturing Operations Management capabilities?

We're seeking a visionary Principal Product Manager to drive the modernization of our Manufacturing Execution System and elevate our technical strategy, scaling it across our global mass manufacturing footprint.

NOTE: This role is based in Billund, Denmark, and no relocation support is offered.

Core Responsibilities:

As the Principal Product Manager for Manufacturing Operations Management at The LEGO Group, you'll shape and deploy our strategy across mass production technologies and manufacturing sites. You'll align with digital product and platform teams, while providing clear direction and priorities for a dedicated product team critical to success.

Collaborate with business units to translate problem statements into digital deliveries. Work across global and regional manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and digital teams to drive Portfolio Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Partner with the Head of Product, Digital Principal and Engineering Directors, Product Managers, Global and Local Process Owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver the Manufacturing Operations Management strategy.

  • Drive implementation of the MOM strategy tactically, collaborating with the Head of Product, OPS senior leadership, Digital senior leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into digital deliveries and a prioritized product roadmap, ensuring alignment across related products.
  • Lead product discovery with the team and partners to experiment and test ideas that shape the value proposition and tactical implementation.
  • Work with UX specialists to integrate usability studies and research into product requirements for user-centered design.
  • Communicate priorities, developments, and changes clearly to partners, focusing on product lifecycle management.
  • Participate in sprint planning to clarify and elaborate user stories, aiding the team in delivering the MOM strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insight and context to enhance understanding of requirements.

Play your part in our team succeeding

As Principal Product Manager, you'll oversee one of the most complex and critical strategies within our portfolio across Manufacturing digital Products. Your leadership will have a significant impact across Operations, steering a brand-new initiative in Manufacturing Operations Management. You'll define the strategy and direction for related digital products and platform teams, requiring deep domain expertise and strategic foresight.

You will be part of the Manufacturing Products and Data Enablement department within Engineering & Workplace, collaborating closely with the Head of Product, fellow Product Managers, Product Leaders, and the Head of Data Analytics and Insights. With direct access to key stakeholders across Operations, you'll have a clear pathway to influence and drive change. Join us in shaping the future of manufacturing and making a lasting impact!

Do you have what it takes?

  • Deep knowledge of the business domain and technology landscape in Manufacturing Operations Management and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Experience managing systems, software, and applications within the ISA-95 third layer as a Product Manager and in Digital Engineering roles.
  • Excellent communicator, skilled at articulating problems, capturing requirements, and presenting solutions.
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams in tech, design, and business to align product vision.
  • Ability to identify key themes and trends from customer and market data analysis.
  • Technically curious with a solid understanding of software development practices and web/mobile technologies.
  • Effective leader of cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Proven track record of guiding and leading cross-functional agile teams through the full product lifecycle.

Beyond the basics, it’d be awesome if you have experience with the actual implementation of large-scale enterprise-wide MOM software solutions, working with third-party suppliers, or have been part of the delivery vehicle in a company delivering MOM tools in-house or as consultancy services. Managing products in big enterprise settings is a plus, and any shop floor know-how in manufacturing would be awesome.
