People Operations & People Partner Consultant
Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced People Operations & People Partner Consultant to help strengthen and scale our People function during an exciting period of growth. Working directly with our VP People, you’ll split your time between operational excellence and strategic people partnering, leading projects that improve our HR systems, processes, documentation, and manager enablement while helping build a scalable People function ready for the next stage of the company’s journey.

Compensation: €400–600/day (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Location: Paris (hybrid) · Freelance · 3–4 days per week

About the RoleDrive our People Operations transformation

Lead the assessment and optimisation of our People technology stack, including HRIS and vendor evaluation, helping consolidate multiple tools into a simpler, more scalable ecosystem while overseeing implementation and integration.

Build scalable People foundations

Review, document and improve core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring our operations, documentation and policies are structured, compliant and built to support a growing international organisation.

Lead strategic People projects

Support key initiatives including our company-wide levelling and compensation framework, geographic salary bands, manager enablement programmes and hybrid working model, partnering closely with leadership to deliver lasting organisational improvements.

Improve documentation, automation and operational efficiency

Take ownership of reorganising and maintaining our People documentation in Notion, identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows using AI and modern tooling, and creating systems that reduce operational overhead.

Partner with managers and the wider People team

Work alongside our People Operations and Workplace teams to provide pragmatic HR guidance, improve manager capability, support People programmes, and help embed best practices across the business.

About You
Significant experience across People Operations and HR Business Partnering

7+ years working within People Operations, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering or HR Generalist roles, ideally within fast-growing startups or scale-ups where you’ve helped build processes from the ground up.

Strong operational and project management skills

Comfortable leading multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, bringing structure to ambiguity, improving existing processes, and delivering projects from discovery through implementation.

HR technology and systems expertise

Experience evaluating, implementing or optimising HRIS platforms and People technology, with a strong understanding of the wider HR tech landscape and an interest in automation and AI-enabled workflows.

Strong knowledge of European HR practices

Experience working across European employment practices and compliance, ideally with exposure to French employment law, payroll operations or multi-country HR environments.

Structured, proactive and solutions-oriented

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, able to identify gaps before they become problems, propose practical solutions, and confidently take ownership without needing constant direction.

Excellent communication skills

Able to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business, communicate clearly with both managers and employees, and balance operational excellence with commercial pragmatism.
