This role is located in Budapest, Hungary - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.
Tulip brings modern technology and AI into manufacturing - a sector that drives 15% of global GDP and employs one in seven workers, yet remains among the least digitized. More than a decade ago we created the category to close that gap: AI-native software that puts cutting-edge tools directly in the hands of the people who build things. Because we are human-centered and tech-obsessed, we are building a future of work where human ingenuity is nourished and amplified with the latest technology.
It’s a rare moment to join. In January 2026 we became one of Boston’s few new AI unicorns, reaching a $1.3B valuation at Series D, and we’re growing double digits in revenue year over year. The world’s best manufacturers run on Tulip - turning inventory 10x faster, releasing gene therapies in hours instead of weeks, and training master craftspeople to forge engagement rings 5x more rapidly. Headquartered in Somerville, MA with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, and Israel, we’ve been named a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a Gartner leader, and one of Built In Boston’s “Best Places to Work.”
We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, lean, and high ownership. We’re looking for people who want to do meaningful work - energized by hard problems, fast cycles, and the chance to see their work matter.
About youYou are a People Operations professional who combines operational rigor with genuine care for the people you support. You operate with real autonomy across a complex, multi-region environment - equally comfortable advising an employee, leading an EMEA compliance audit, and designing a process from scratch. You’re structured and analytical, with a growth mindset and genuine curiosity about where technology and automation can take HR next. You lead cross-functional projects with minimal supervision, spot gaps before they become problems, and show up as a trusted partner to the people and managers you work with.
What skills do I need?- 3-6+ years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably with EMEA multi-country exposure
- Track record of independently leading HR operations programs cross-functionally, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits and leave management, immigration, and policy development
- Ability to advise managers and employees on HR matters, translating policy and compliance requirements into practical, human guidance
- Curiosity about AI and automation tools as applied to HR service delivery
- Interest in jumping into recruiting support when needed - candidate sourcing, coordinating interview loops, and keeping the process moving alongside the Talent team
- Professional fluency in English and Hungarian (spoken and written) required
- Serve as the primary HR operations point of contact for EMEA/APAC employees, independently managing day-to-day questions and employee lifecycle transactions
- Lead or co-lead global People Operations programs including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and compensation cycles, coordinating with the global People team
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes across the employee lifecycle: design, standardize, and scale processes that are compliant, user-friendly, and operationally effective; actively explore AI and automation to enhance HR service delivery
- Lead EMEA employment compliance end-to-end: monitor regulatory changes, manage relationships with external legal and employment advisors, and ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and data protection standards
- Deliver high-quality HR documentation including employee contracts, contract amendments, and employment declarations; maintain accurate employee records across electronic and paper systems
- Administer leave of absence, time-off tracking, benefits coordination, and policy documentation across EMEA/APAC regions, partnering with local advisors as needed
- People team (HR Operations Lead & Generalist, HRBPs, Recruiters, Head of People & Talent)
- Finance, IT, Operations, Legal, and external employment advisors
- Employees of Tulip across EMEA & APAC regions
