About this role

This is a critical role at a fast-scaling company with bold ambitions and significant growth ahead. As Halter expands globally, the complexity of moving people across borders, keeping our immigration and right-to-work compliance airtight, and enabling entry into new markets grows with us. We care deeply about building strong infrastructure that enables this - while preserving the agency and speed that is deeply ingrained in our culture.

As our People Mobility Specialist, you'll own Halter's day-to-day global mobility operations - from visa and immigration case management to relocation logistics and internal moves between markets. You'll work closely with the Head of People Operations, external immigration vendors, and internal stakeholders to make sure our people can move where they need to be, compliantly and quickly.

This is not a passive or back-office role. It requires someone who is highly organised, sharp on the details, and genuinely energised by keeping people moving and giving the business the confidence to hire and deploy talent globally. You're structured, on top of every thread, and uncomfortable letting anything slip. Your character will matter. You'll need the judgement to navigate sensitive situations, the communication skills to bring people along with you, and exceptional project management to keep complex, multi-threaded processes moving without things slipping through the cracks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Immigration & Visa Management: Manage immigration and visa cases end-to-end across Halter's markets. Ensure every case is progressed with care, rigour, and urgency - and that nothing falls through the cracks.

  2. Right-to-Work Compliance: Own our right-to-work compliance, ensuring Halter meets its legal obligations across markets and stays audit-ready at all times.

  3. Relocation Logistics: Coordinate the relocation experience for employees moving internationally - managing timelines and logistics, and making sure people feel supported through what can be a complex and stressful process.

  4. Immigration Vendor Management: Manage our relationships with immigration vendors, holding them to a high standard and making sure they're delivering at the pace Halter needs.

  5. Internal Mobility: Coordinate the operational side of employees moving across teams, functions, and markets - logistics, documentation, and timelines - making the process consistent and easy to navigate.

  6. Generalist Range: This is a role where unexpected things will land on your plate. You'll be a key part of making it all happen.

We’re looking for someone who
  1. Strong experience in a fast-paced, detail-heavy operational role - immigration or mobility experience is not required. What matters is that you're the kind of person who can pick up complex, unfamiliar processes fast and run them well.

  2. An exceptional and proactive communicator. You write clearly, speak confidently, and know how to land a complex message with people navigating significant life changes. No one ever has to chase you for an update.

  3. Proven experience navigating high-pressure situations. Immigration doesn't wait - you stay steady under pressure and know when to escalate and when to hold.

  4. You've got documentation discipline baked in - you keep clean records without anyone needing to ask.

  5. Exceptional project management and attention to detail. You run tight threads, nothing slips, and the standard of your work reflects how much you care.

  6. High integrity and sound judgement. You handle sensitive information with discretion and build trust easily.

  7. Knows how to get the best out of vendors - you know how to set expectations, drive accountability, and build partnerships that deliver real results.
