About this opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Infrastructure & Collaboration SME to join the IT Operations team and provide expert-level administration, troubleshooting, and operational support across Microsoft infrastructure and collaboration technologies.
The primary focus of this role is Microsoft Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID, with additional exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Enterprise Vault, Windows Server, and Azure services.
What you will do:
- Provide L3/SME support for Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, and Hybrid environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Exchange servers, mailboxes, databases, mail flow, connectors, and related services.
- Support Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including DNS, Group Policy, authentication, replication, and domain controllers.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including identity, authentication, users, groups, and roles.
- Lead complex incident resolution, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, and user connectivity.
- Support Microsoft 365 services and Azure integrations with on-premises infrastructure.
- Administer and support Windows Server, Enterprise Vault, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Perform infrastructure patching, upgrades, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Develop PowerShell automation for operational and administrative activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Network, Application, and Vendor teams to ensure service reliability.
What you will bring:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Microsoft Infrastructure and IT Operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Microsoft Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, and Hybrid
- Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- AD/Entra Connect
- DNS, Group Policy, AD replication, and authentication
- Windows Server Administration
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Enterprise Vault, and Azure services.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills.
- Experience working within ITIL/ITSM environments and using ITSM and monitoring platforms such as ServiceNow or HPSM.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers is an advantage.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-800/AZ-801, Microsoft 365 Administrator, AZ-305, or other relevant Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage.
