About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Vmware & Nutanix SME to support and manage enterprise infrastructure environments across VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft Azure, and Windows Server platforms. The role involves day-to-day operations, administration, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and automation, while ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure services.
What you will do:
- Administer, monitor, and support VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, storage, and virtual machines.
- Manage and maintain Nutanix infrastructure, including Prism Central, AHV, cluster health, capacity management, and lifecycle activities.
- Administer Microsoft Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, backup, and security controls.
- Perform Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle activities such as patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively address performance, availability, and capacity issues.
- Support incident, problem, change, and service request management in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Support disaster recovery, backup, restoration, and business continuity activities.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with application, network, security, and cloud teams to deliver infrastructure services and projects.
What you will bring:
- BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of IT infrastructure operations experience.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on VMware administration experience and minimum of 3 years each in Nutanix and Microsoft Azure administration.
- Experience in VMware: ESXi and vCenter administration, HA/DRS, VM provisioning, patching, performance, capacity, and security management.
- Experience in Nutanix: Prism Central and Prism Element, AHV administration, Lifecycle Manager (LCM), capacity monitoring, and data protection.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure: Virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, monitoring, backup, identity and access management, security, and governance.
- Experience in Windows Server: DNS, DHCP, file services, patching, security management, performance monitoring, and PowerShell scripting.
- Infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus.
- Azure Automation and Azure Monitor is a plus.
- Monitoring tools such as SCOM or HP Service Assurance is a plus.
- ITIL Foundation, VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, or Microsoft AZ-104 certifications is a plus.
- Ability to manage critical incidents and high-pressure production environments.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong ownership and operational discipline.
