Sales Effort
- Ensure the Mexico cross-border load board is covered before clocking out each day and that at least 95% of it is pre-booked for the following day.
- Source new and existing dedicated business opportunities.
- Make outbound phone calls to both Mexico and U.S.-based carriers.
- Learn how to use and operate Arrive resources, including Committed Capacity, 1 Stop Shop, Truck Entry, Carrier Search, and Load Board.
- Collect paperwork and manage accounting-related activities.
Sales Development
- Build a portfolio of at least 15 carriers and seven core carriers.
- Contact at least 12 unique carriers every afternoon and post trucks projected on weekly capacity.
- Call on new carriers daily to build a working relationship.
- Become an expert in Mexico's capacity, markets, and rates.
- Prospect and cold-call carriers through leads listed within our CRM and generate your own leads through individual research.
- Build strong internal relationships with Arrive’s Business Development and Operations teams.
- Handle and solve freight issues, including missed pickups, missed deliveries, accessorial management, and rejected products.
Service
- Track loads from pickup status to delivery status.
- Maintain a late bounce score of less than 3% each month.
- Ensure all in-transit loads have updated notes by 10 AM every morning.
- Confirm all next-day pickups by 2:30 PM CST and rebook any loads that are not confirmed.
- Ensure service expectations are relayed to the carrier at the time of booking and only book loads when the carrier agrees they can accommodate those expectations.
- Obtain timely updates within 15 minutes upon request for carriers, customers, and coworkers.
- Ensure all carrier information in ArriveNow is accurate for every load.
- Confirm all loads cross before document expiration and that they cross the border in a timely manner to make on-time delivery.
- Learn how to use Arrive technology resources, including the NextGen Tracking Board, internal comments, Slack tracking channels, and email communication.
- Hold carriers accountable for Arrive’s service metrics, including OTP, OTD, Autotrack, and Late Bounce.
Qualifications
- Carrier sales or brokering experience is preferred.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
