Summary:
The MEA Network for AI: DCN and RIS Sales Specialist supports the local sales teams in the geo to provide specialist DCN and RIS knowledge and expertise, also working with the local specialist technical resources to drive business outcomes.

Sales Specialists in the Networks for AI domain are responsible for leading the pursuit of complex data center networking and routing solutions within the Middle East and Africa region. They operate as subject matter experts, collaborating closely with account teams to develop pipeline, shape opportunities, and drive end-to-end sales execution. The role requires the ability to combine technical depth with consultative selling, enabling customers to align infrastructure investments with business and AI-driven outcomes while positioning differentiated solutions across the portfolio.
Management Level Definition:
This role operates at an advanced individual contributor level, recognized as an authority in data center networking and routing solutions. It requires the ability to solve complex business challenges through deep analysis, influence strategic direction across accounts and regions, and lead cross-functional virtual teams. The specialist contributes to the development of new approaches and best practices, exercises a high degree of independent judgment, and provides mentorship and guidance to broader sales and technical teams while shaping go-to-market execution and customer engagement strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of sales pipeline across DCN and RIS opportunities
- Drive consultative customer engagements with technical and executive stakeholders
- Shape and influence solution architecture, including proofs of concept and design strategies
- Own and manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from qualification to closure
- Collaborate with account teams, sales engineers, and partners to deliver integrated solutions
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans aligned to growth objectives
- Ensure accuracy in forecasting and pipeline management disciplines
- Support partner enablement and contribute to joint go-to-market initiatives
- Position AI-ready networking solutions aligned with customer modernization goals
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Typically 8–12+ years of enterprise sales experience in networking or infrastructure
- Proven track record of selling complex data center networking or routing solutions
- Experience managing large, strategic enterprise account sales campaigns
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales quotas
- Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders in complex organizations
- Familiar with MEDDPICC and/or Strategic Selling approaches and framework
- Experienced presenter and public speaker
Knowledge and Skills:
- Deep understanding of data center networking architectures and routing technologies
- Knowledge of AI infrastructure connectivity and modern data center environments
- Strong consultative selling and business case development capabilities
