We are looking for an experienced MDM Architect to design and lead the architecture of a Security Master and Entity Master platform for a leading global credit ratings organization. You will define the end-to-end MDM architecture including data modeling, governance workflows, golden record management, survivorship and integration patterns across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of securities reference data and a strong command of modern data platform technologies.
ResponsibilitiesDefine the overall MDM architecture for Security Master, Entity Master, and Reference Data domains — including data model design, hierarchy management, and golden record strategy.
Design data ingestion pipelines into the MDM hub using Python/FastAPI-based microservices.
Architect match-merge, survivorship, and stewardship workflows for financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and legal entities.
Define data quality rules, lineage tracking, and audit trails aligned to financial industry standards (FIGI, ISIN, CUSIP, LEI).
Drive data model design for Security Master and Entity Master, including partitioning and performance optimization strategies.
Architect APIs (RESTful/FastAPI) for downstream consumption by risk, analytics, and reporting systems.
Define the AWS infrastructure blueprint — including RDS, S3, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and IAM — for the MDM platform.
Collaborate with Security SME, backend developers, and QA teams to ensure architecture aligns with implementation realities.
Establish data governance standards, metadata management policies, and data stewardship processes.
Lead architecture review sessions, produce solution design documents (HLD/LLD), and present to client stakeholders.
Evaluate and recommend MDM patterns: hub-and-spoke, registry, coexistence, or consolidation — based on use case requirements.
Mentor and guide the technical team across backend and data engineering workstreams.
End-to-end MDM lifecycle: ingestion, matching, merging, survivorship, stewardship, and distribution.
Financial domain expertise: Security Master (equities, fixed income, derivatives), Entity/Counterparty Master, Reference Data.
API-first architecture mindset with RESTful design and OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
Strong communication skills — able to translate complex architecture concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead design discussions and produce clear, actionable architecture artifacts.
Bachelor's degree, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 8 years focused on MDM platform design and architecture.
Base Compensation Range: $140,000- $160,000
The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. For positions based in higher-cost zones (e.g., California, New York, New Jersey), actual compensation may exceed the posted range; your recruiter will share specifics during the process.
