Job Description

We encourage candidates to apply for no more than three internship opportunities within a 90-day period. Our recruiting team will review your application and ensure you are considered for the opportunities that best align with your skills and interests.

Marketing is never just one thing. One day you’re shaping a social post, the next you’re helping plan paid media, prepping for an event or writing copy that helps someone picture their career at Cox. If you like variety — and want to try a lot of it in one summer — keep reading.

We’re hiring a summer Marketing Intern to support the Cox Enterprises brand. You’ll get a real look at how the pieces fit together, and hands-on work to show for it.

If you’re curious, collaborative and ready to jump in, let’s talk!

What You’ll Do

You’ll rotate through projects across channels and audiences, guided by mentors who are here to help you learn. You may:

  • Create content for social, web, email and campaigns — from first draft to published post.

  • Support social media planning and community engagement, and help track what’s resonating.

  • Contribute to website projects like refreshing pages, testing UX and updating content for clarity and accuracy.

  • Conduct audience and industry research

  • Assist with paid media planning, channel mixes and performance reporting

  • Pitch in on events and activations before, during and after the big day.

  • Partner with our design team to craft creative briefs, review initial designs and carry them forward into your live campaigns.

  • Bring new ideas to the table for B2B, employment brand and corporate brand efforts.

  • Share progress and updates with both marketing leaders and business partners.

What’s In It for You?

  • Hands-on experience across multiple marketing channels — not just one lane.
  • The chance to build your professional skills with real accountability and caring feedback.

  • The opportunity to meet and network with company leaders and expand your professional network.

  • Work samples you’ll actually want in your portfolio.

Who You Are

You’re a strong communicator with good instincts, a sharp eye for details and genuine curiosity about how marketing works. You are also:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in marketing, communications, advertising, business or a related field.

  • A self-starter who takes initiative, stays flexible and asks good questions.

  • Highly organized, deadline-aware and quick to pick up new tools and systems.

  • Comfortable juggling several projects at once

  • Happy brainstorming with a group and just as happy running with an idea on your own.

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Kick off your career the right way and Make Your Mark at Cox. Apply today.
