Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to supervise and direct all facets of Security and Life Safety at Store Support Centers (SSCs)and Corporate Data Centers (CDCs). This includes responsibility for supervising contract security officers and supervisors at these facilities. This role is critical to maintaining the security and safety of Lowe's employees and facilities.
What You Will Do
- Manage the security contract. Supervises onsite contract security officers and contract security supervisors.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with SSC departments such as Legal, HR and other business units.
- Conducts initial investigation involving criminal activity, accidents and acts of misconduct at corporate facilities and reports findings to Senior Director Global Security and when required, local law enforcement.
- Serves as a member of the Threat Assessment Team responsible for conducting the initial investigation of threats occurring at SSCs and CDCs. and reporting these findings To Senior Director Global Security and when required, local law enforcement.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with the Fire/Police/ and EMS agencies servicing SSCs and CDCs.
- Manages the administration and execution of the Fire Evacuation plans to include conducting semi-annual fire drills and the coordination of training.
- Supervises the administration of the badge access system (DNA), to include making employee/contractor badges at and preparing badge reports for Lowe's Audit Department to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Coordinates security related assistance with Lowe's departments hosting special events and large groups of visitors.
- Ensures that Security/Safety information is effectively disseminated to Lowe's employees/contractors via hand- outs, LowesNet, new employee/contractor orientation and lunch and learns.
- Will assist Executive Protection team for events that include Board of Directors and ELT members as needed and may require travel.
- Support the Global Security Operations Center and Asset Protection team in its mission to investigate, evaluate, and disseminate critical information.
- Enforce policies and procedures at the SSCs and other corporate locations, as well at any offsite function.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Criminal Justice, Security Management, Homeland Security, or Business Administration
- 10 Years Experience in either law enforcement, military and/or security field
- 10 Years Managing and leading security teams
- 10 Years Security Operations: Managing guards, access control, surveillance systems
- 10 Years Risk Assessment: Identifying and mitigating threats to people, property, and assets
- 10 Years Demonstrated knowledge and experience in criminal law and procedure
- Current and valid driver's license and passport
Preferred Skills/Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Criminal Justice, Security Management, Homeland Security, or Business Administration
- 10 Years Experience liaising with local, federal, and state law enforcement agencies
- ASIS Internation certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
