Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Data Engineering to lead and scale our Data platforms as we expand our infrastructure, services, and platform architecture. This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong technical depth, people management capability, strategic thinking, and cross-functional influence to deliver impactful data solutions at scale.
As a Manager, Data Engineering, you’ll partner closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders to shape and execute the roadmap for our data platform, ensuring high-trust, scalable, and business-aligned outcomes. You’ll lead and mentor engineering teams, foster a culture of excellence, and act as a force multiplier across functions by raising engineering standards, improving delivery execution, and accelerating the maturity of our data platform capabilities.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Own the roadmap execution for data engineering, balancing immediate delivery commitments with long-term architecture, modernization, and platform scalability.
- Partner with stakeholders across product, operations, analytics, client delivery, and leadership teams to prioritize data engineering roadmap, define KPIs, and translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from multiple internal and external systems.
- Ensure pipelines and platforms are scalable, reusable, fault-tolerant, and optimized for batch, near real-time, and event-driven workloads.
- Drive the delivery of dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting systems, and executive analytics that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Establish engineering best practices for coding standards, testing, release management, documentation, and operational readiness across the team.
- Lead automation initiatives to eliminate manual reporting and operational processes through orchestration, and reusable frameworks.
- Own governance frameworks including data quality, metadata management, lineage, access controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Continuously enhance platform reliability, maintainability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency by driving automation, observability, robust engineering standards, documentation, testing, operational readiness, incident prevention, and adoption of emerging technologies that improve performance, developer experience, and long-term platform resilience.
- Manage team capacity planning, sprint execution.
- Support client-facing engagements involving integrations, data onboarding, solution design, and executive communication where required.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, data platforms, analytics engineering, or related disciplines, with 3+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
- Proven success managing high-performing engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Strong expertise in designing modern cloud-based data architectures using Amazon Web Services services such as EMR, Glue, Lambda, Athena, S3, Iceberg, and related ecosystem tools.
- Deep experience building scalable ETL pipelines, distributed data processing systems, and enterprise reporting platforms.
- Strong SQL expertise including performance tuning, optimization, partitioning, workload management, and data modeling.
- Experience with orchestration and transformation frameworks such as dbt, Airflow, Step Functions, or equivalent tools.
- Proven ability to lead production support models, incident management, SLA ownership, and platform reliability improvements.
- Strong understanding of governance, security, privacy controls, observability, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships, prioritization, roadmap planning, and executive communication.
- Experience leading secure client integrations including APIs, file exchanges, and SFTP transfers.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control using GitHub, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

ISMS roles and responsibilities:
- Good knowledge of Information security
- Oversee specific business processes within the ISMS.
- Responsible to manage the ISMS documentation, conduct risk assessments, and implement risk treatment plans.
- Risk Owners are responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks within their areas of responsibility.
- They are also responsible for implementing risk treatment plans.
- Conduct the BCP and other test related to information security continuity along with CISO
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of the ISMS.

Skills Required
