Your Impact
The Manager, Competitive Intelligence purpose is to design, develop, and maintain competitive intelligence data collection and analytics capabilities that support Lowe's enterprise Competitive Intelligence strategy. Positioned at the intersection of data infrastructure and business value, this role owns the strategy for standards, governance, datasets, pipelines, and analytical methodologies. The Manager will collaborate with Merchandising leadership and Merchants, Pricing Business Partner and Strategy teams, Category Management, Digital, Marketplace, and Product, to define matching and/or crawling requirements and translate business needs into scalable matching capabilities. This role leads teams in leveraging data to generate insights that inform business decisions and policy development and is responsible for advancing Lowe's analytics capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Support Lowe's enterprise Competitive Intelligence objectives by driving strategy development and execution planning , including but not limited to developing and maintaining enterprise matching and/or scraping strategy.
- Manage strategic projects and priorities across multiple enterprise domain requirements simultaneously.
- Establish scalable, efficient processes for model development, validation, implementation, monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement, consolidating business requirements to drive accountability for technical deliveries.
- Partner cross functionally to define final attributes, comparison criteria, exclusions, confidence thresholds and similarity levels by category and use case, develop matching approach that meets enterprise needs, establish quality control measures, validation methodologies, and ongoing governance and maintenance controls.
- Establish enterprise standards for match creation, approval, audit and rejection, including defining decision rights for AI agents, CI team and domain experts, and escalation processes.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Technology teams to develop automated and AI-enabled matching capabilities.
- Prioritize enhancements based on business value, category complexity, match opportunity, and operational effort.
- Distill insights from data, leveraging advanced analytics tools and techniques to build models and scenarios to inform business decisions and answer key questions.
- Set objectives, key results and metrics for Competitive Intelligence capabilities.
- May lead, develop, and engage a small team, support their professional growth and refine their analytical skills. May set performance goals and provide feedback, coaching, and development to team members in order to recognize achievements and address areas for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Merchandising, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 7 years of experience in Pricing, Merchandising, Finance, Competitive Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Project Management, Product Management, or related field
- Experience partnering with Product, Data Science, Engineering, or Technology teams to design, test, implement, or scale advanced analytics, machine-learning, or AI-enabled capabilities
- Experience developing business rules, quality standards, governance processes, or analytical methodologies
- Familiarity with SQL, data collection, classification, data validation tools, pipelines, dashboards and UIs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily interpretable material for business stakeholders and articulate analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, effectively managing changing business priorities, operational change, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong data-driven judgment: defining metrics, analyzing product/customer data, running experiments, and making clear tradeoffs

- Master's degree Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- Experience working closely with senior leadership (VP and above)
- Experience designing, building, testing, deploying and scaling AI-powered tools and processes
- Experience in a large retailer, marketplace, pricing provider, digital-shelf provider, or competitive data organization
- Experience with machine learning, natural-language processing, image matching, embeddings, similarity models, AI-enabled matching, or other AI-led workflows
