Job Description

We are looking for a commercially driven Manager, Account Development to manage and grow a portfolio of FMCG clients across the Philippines.

This is an individual contributor sales role responsible for driving revenue growth through a combination of account development, client retention, cross-selling, and new business acquisition. You will partner with leading FMCG manufacturers and retailers, helping them leverage NielsenIQ's market intelligence, consumer insights, and analytics solutions to solve business challenges and accelerate growth.

The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate data and insights into compelling business recommendations for clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing FMCG clients to achieve revenue and commercial targets.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through cross-selling and upselling NIQ solutions and services.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets and client segments.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive client engagement and business development activities.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client challenges, commercial objectives, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and solution recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Participate in industry events, networking activities, webinars, and conferences to build market presence and generate leads.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations, including Marketing, Category Management, Consumer Insights, Sales, Trade Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients and identify opportunities for long-term partnership growth.
  • Support contract renewals and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by leveraging market insights and industry knowledge to support client decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Deliver assigned revenue, retention, and new business targets.
  • Develop account growth plans and pipeline forecasts.
  • Support proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor sales performance and take appropriate actions to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and pipeline management within CRM systems.

Solution Selling & Insight Consultancy

  • Understand client business challenges and identify appropriate NielsenIQ solutions.
  • Translate consumer, retail, and market data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Present insights and commercial proposals to clients in a clear and compelling way.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Analytics, and Product teams, to deliver client value.
  • Support product launches and communicate new solution capabilities to clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG/CPG, retail, e-commerce, sales, account management, or market research-related industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven B2B sales, account management, or business development experience.
  • Exceptional client management, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in consumer insights, market research, or data-driven consulting is an advantage.
