Summary Generated by Built In

We’re building a world of health around every individual — shaping a more connected, convenient and compassionate health experience. At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.

Join a team of architects driving the modernization of CVS Health’s enterprise customer communications ecosystem. This role will help define and enable the platforms that support high-volume outbound communications across CVS Health businesses, connecting marketing, customer data, consent, identity, integration, and cloud capabilities.

We are looking for a highly technical architect who can operate across both enterprise and solution architecture. You will establish the target-state architecture and platform roadmap while also working closely with engineering teams to design integrations, data flows, APIs, and enabling infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings strong software and platform architecture experience, understands the marketing communications domain, and can architect solutions across Adobe, Salesforce, consent management, and enterprise messaging capabilities. This is not a marketing operations, campaign management, SEO, or digital advertising role. It is a technology architecture position focused on building scalable, connected, and compliant customer communication platforms.

This role can work remotely from anywhere in the continental USA.

Messaging Enablement

Architect the capabilities required to enable and expand outbound communication channels, including email, SMS, RCS, push notifications, and emerging customer engagement channels.

Consent and Compliance Architecture

Embed customer consent, communication preferences, regulatory controls, suppression requirements, and message archival capabilities into the platform architecture. Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal, Data, and Engineering teams to ensure communications are appropriately governed and compliant.

Data Architecture

Design and evaluate customer data flows, consent and preference models, identity relationships, message records, and high-volume data-processing patterns supporting enterprise customer communications.

Cloud and Infrastructure Architecture

Guide the design of applications, integrations, and supporting infrastructure within GCP and the broader enterprise technology ecosystem.

Vendor and Build-vs-Buy Strategy

Lead technical vendor assessments, proofs of concept, RFP support, and build-versus-buy decisions across customer communications, marketing technology, consent management, and related platforms.

Architecture Governance

Establish reference architectures, standards, reusable patterns, and design principles. Participate in architecture reviews and guide technical debt management and platform rationalization efforts.

Delivery Partnership

Guide solution architects and engineering teams through design, implementation, integration, and deployment activities. Review solutions for security, scalability, resilience, compliance, performance, and cost effectiveness.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

Present architectural recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and investment options to senior business and technology leaders.

AI and Automation

Evaluate AI and machine learning use cases within customer communications, including next-best action, audience intelligence, personalization, and content generation, while ensuring appropriate architectural and compliance controls.
