In our Wheels and Aero team we investigate ways to improve boosting performance and durability of turbocharger components. From exploring new approaches to setting up methods and to creation novelty designs, Our team cover broad area of expertise:
- CAD, CFD, FEA and optimization tools.
- Multi-disciplinary optimizations of component & system performance.
- Design, qualification and verification of new products, examining new designs on function and durability
- Novel test methods, Light Probe Testing, Health Monitoring System.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Aerodynamics, heat transfer and structural analyses.
- Optimization of turbine & compressor stage using FEA and CFD.
- Performance and durability test planning and evaluating.
- Novel design & analytical methods development.
DESIRABLE BACKGROUND
- Student in last year (of Masters) mechanical engineering, aerodynamics and thermodynamics or similar.
- Aerodynamics, thermodynamics and structural mechanics.
- CAD, FEA and CFD.

- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English (At least technical English level)

The Garrett Engineering organization is responsible for developing a differentiated product portfolio of boosting solutions that enables our customers to set new benchmarks in vehicle performance – both for our traditional core turbocharger business as well as new growth areas such as electrification and software.
Skills Required
- Enrolled in final year of a Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, or similar
- Knowledge of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics
- Experience with CAD, FEA and CFD tools
- Experience with statistical methods and data processing
- Experience with Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good written and spoken English (technical English level minimum)
- Availability for a minimum 6-month internship duration
