Join a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century. At Honeywell Aerospace, we're launching as an independent, publicly traded aerospace and defense company built on a legacy of operational excellence and mission-focused execution.

Our new brand identity pairs that heritage with real momentum, as we build technology that helps pilots navigate with confidence, aircraft operate more efficiently, and operators stay ahead of change. With our systems on board 90% of the world's aircraft, your work here has reach that's rare to find anywhere else.

Focusing on our customers, investing in innovation, and building a culture of accountability and performance is how we're shaping what comes next.

Every horizon. Every mission. Every day.

We are seeking a Senior Test System Engineer to lead the development and execution of production test strategies for the Electromechanical Actuator Controller (EMAC) program. This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of acceptance testing at component and unit levels (PBA/Unit), ensuring products meet quality and airworthiness standards before integration into final aerospace systems. You will bridge the gap between engineering prototypes and production-ready hardware, own test specifications, procedures, Special Test Equipment (STE) requirements, and verification documentation across the product lifecycle.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive test strategies for EMAC production acceptance across PBA and unit-level testing, from engineering builds through production release.
  • Plan and coordinate test activities, ensuring alignment with program milestones, quality objectives, airworthiness requirements, and production schedules.
  • Lead end-to-end test execution, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
  • Define technical specification for Special Test Equipment (STE), working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external partners to ensure test readiness.
  • Oversee unit-level acceptance testing, analyze results, manage non-conformances, and lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Prepare and maintain verification documentation, test reports, traceability records, and certification evidence in compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Qualifications
  • University education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in test engineering with focus on hardware acceptance/production testing
  • Proven experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test procedures for complex electromechanical systems
  • Hands-on experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, etc.)
  • Proficiency in test automation and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
  • Strong documentation skills with experience in requirements traceability and configuration management
  • Fluent English in written and spoken form
  • The following will be considered as advantageous: Experience in aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical industry, familiarity with aerospace standards and processes (AS9100, DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD), experience with Special Test Equipment (STE) specification and qualification, experience with eVTOL, aviation actuators, or flight control systems

Please note that due to export restrictions, we will only be able to take into consideration applicants with an EU or US citizenship.
