Job Description:
We are seeking a proven, action-oriented individual to join our Executive Communications team that supports the HPE Networking business group. This is an exciting opportunity to join HPE’s world-class global communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. How you’ll make your mark:
As an Internal Communications Manager for HPE Networking you will partner with the team to help drive the company’s networking narratives internally. This is an important role at a key moment in the company’s transformation and requires a collaborative professional with executive presence to assist with implementing and measuring sustained internal communications programs reaching networking employees, and measurement and operational expertise to support our overall networking executive communications program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and evaluate programs to inform, engage and inspire HPE Networking team members globally, including HPE Networking all team meetings, internal written communications, visual and video communications, and contribute to networking content at meetings across HPE.
- Drive content for and manage coordination and logistics of internal events such as all team member meetings and ask me anything sessions.
- Manage HPE Networking Viva Engage channels and periodic email newsletter; drive editorial calendar, seeking ideas and content from across the Networking business; write posts and content when needed; execute on production and posting.
- Act as lead in managing Networking executive communications team’s contribution to cross team efforts like quarterly business reviews, ongoing communications measurement and benchmarking.
- Help drive annual and quarterly planning process for Networking executive communications team.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills - some peer or manager edits typically needed.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Organization and program management skills.
- Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of communications methodologies, tools and vehicles; experience with VivaEngage and Teams Webinars a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, managing and prioritizing a variety of projects with tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior company management.
- Some prior knowledge and experience in enterprise technology preferred.
- Flexible, a sense of humor, and adaptable to change.
- Ability to thrive working from home, at the office, or on the go.
Qualifications:
- Able to work from the office two plus days per week.
- BA/BS degree in communications or a related field OR equivalent work experience in communications.
- 7+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism or marketing.
- Experience supporting top executive leadership and/or the c-suite, with a global technology leader preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
