What you will be doing:
- Act as the architectural SME and coach for an embedded business domain, bridging strategic objectives with executable solution designs.
- Design resilient integration patterns - focusing on APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud middleware - to connect upstream and downstream systems cleanly.
- Translate enterprise guardrails into practical delivery models, balancing rapid execution with long-term architectural health.
- Partner closely with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to convert functional requirements into clear, implementable technical designs.
- Help shape data migration, security, and governance strategies to ensure auditability, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Support delivery teams through design, build, test, and deployment phases, resolving architectural risks and ensuring continuous alignment.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
- 7+ years experience designing enterprise-scale solutions in complex IT environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of modern enterprise integration patterns, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and middleware.
- Solid experience with cloud architectures, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) sufficient to work effectively within established guardrails.
- Understanding of security, risk, and compliance requirements within financial, investment, or highly regulated industries.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, coach delivery teams, and confidently navigate complex technical landscapes.

Skills Required
- 7+ years experience in IT Solution or Enterprise Architecture within large-scale enterprises
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architectures
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns including APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency with enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF
- Proficiency with ArchiMate
- Experience in Finance industry systems, risk, and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of security, risk, and regulatory compliance for financial systems
- Experience defining data architecture, migration, and governance strategies
- Ability to produce Enterprise Architecture artifacts and adhere to governance and reference architectures
- Ability to translate complex technical and integration concepts into clear business-relevant language
