Join Cox Enterprises as an Infrastructure Automation Intern and help build the future of our enterprise cloud platform. You will work alongside experienced engineers in a cross-functional team, learning how to build scalable, resilient systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern automation frameworks.
What You'll Do:
- Automate Cloud Infrastructure: Build and maintain automated workflows to provision cloud resources, migrate applications, and enforce security policies.
- Support Hybrid Cloud Operations: Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
- Document & Standardize: Create clear technical documentation for system architecture, configuration standards, and deployment runbooks.
- Integrate ITSM Tools: Develop scripts and workflows that connect cloud infrastructure to change management, ticketing, and asset tracking systems.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Participate in sprint planning, share fresh perspectives, and contribute ideas to optimize self-service cloud offerings.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related STEM field.
- Fundamental understanding of core programming concepts, data structures, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a drive to learn new technologies quickly.
- Familiarity with foundational IT concepts across operating systems (Linux/Windows) and basic networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Working knowledge of data-serialization languages like YAML or JSON.
- Foundational exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Basic version control skills using Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with virtualization concepts (e.g., VMware).

USD 24.23 - 36.35 per hour
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $24.23 - $36.35/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
