In this newly created position, this growing company is looking for a balanced, strategic and tactical HR Leader to help drive its people support function and cultivate its culture during a period of high growth.

 

In this role, you will provide HR leadership to team members and leaders, as well as ensure operational excellence in core people processes and systems. This position works closely with senior leadership in supporting the business strategy, providing advice and counsel, and executing people initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, culture and HR operational excellence. You will plan, develop, implement and administer various functions within HR including employment, compensation and benefits, team member relations, EEO and compliance.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

 

Operational Excellence:

· Ensure HR strategies, programs, policies and procedures are aligned with the strategic plan

· Translate HR strategy into concrete action and tangible results

· Recommend new approaches to ensure continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and services provided

· Establish and maintain HR metrics that capture ongoing team member lifecycle activities as well as cyclical HR activities

· Manage and administer company health and welfare programs

· Partner with Company owners on benefits strategy and the employee value proposition

· Support leaders in the handling of team member relations issues while maintaining the dignity and respect of team members

· Ensure compliance overseeing the integrity of team member data;

· Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment including EEO annual report, maintaining records and reports and adherence to local and federal statutes and laws

· Leadership and management of HR projects and culture initiatives

 

Business Partnership

· Partner, consult and coach leaders; understand and translate business objectives to capabilities; collaborate with business leads to solve complex organizational challenges with a focus on developing and executing strategies to help attract, engage and retain top talent

· Lead and support change management efforts through high growth

· Partner with leaders to identify team member and organizational needs and opportunities

· Coach leaders on assessing and developing talent; recommend action plans to build bench strength for critical roles; partner with leaders to optimize team member engagement and retention

· Identify needs and initiatives that will drive business success, engage team members and maintain an environment consistent with company values

· Lead the development and implementation of team member and leadership training programs 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field required. Human resources professional certification a plus, but not required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership; previous HRBP and Generalist experience required
  • People and culture-first mindset and approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Adept in using data, conducting analysis, leveraging close leader relationships and collaborating across the business
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and ask difficult questions to get to the right outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically influence and persuade leaders
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and work in a team environment, with a strong customer service focus required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; previous experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS preferred, but not required

Location and Travel:

Based in St. Louis with periodic travel to other office locations in the Midwest.
