The Role. This is a brand new function at Halter, created because we plan on moving faster and doing more. We’re doubling down on our hardware talent and strategic advantage.
We're scaling into multiple hardware products in parallel. The people designing, testing and building them are brilliant. The Hardware Delivery Lead's job is to bring those people together, keep them aligned, and make sure they can spend as much time as possible doing the deep technical work instead of navigating coordination overhead.
You won't make the technical or product decisions. But you'll make sure the right people are in the room to make them quickly. You'll strip away unnecessary process and overhead, while making sure every team and every individual gets exactly what they need to move fast and do great work. You'll build the relationships, create the clarity, and drive the rhythm that turns talented, cross-functional teams into a single fast-moving effort.
You’ll be measured on delivery.
What You'll Do.Coordinate delivery across multiple hardware programmes, working across hardware design, firmware, reliability, networking, NPI, production and supply chain teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships across every discipline. Understand each team's constraints and dependencies well enough to anticipate problems and bring the right people together before things slow down.
Design a lightweight delivery cadence that keeps complex programmes on track. You'll ruthlessly cut process that doesn't earn its place and replace it with the minimum structure each team actually needs to stay unblocked and informed.
Drive clarity for everyone. Make sure individuals know what matters this week, teams know what's on the critical path, and the wider business is up-to-date. You’ll report directly to Exec.
Surface trade-offs early and cleanly so decision-makers can move fast.
Absorb coordination complexity so that technical teams stay focused on what they do best.
Shape how we deliver hardware at Halter as the company scales.
Strong experience driving complex hardware products from development through to production, ideally across multiple programmes simultaneously.
A track record of cross-functional collaboration in environments where you don't own the teams but you own the delivery. You lead through influence, trust, and relationships.
Enough fluency in hardware development (prototyping, tooling, test, NPI, manufacturing) to ask the right questions, spot real risks, and know who needs to be in the conversation.
Exceptional communication. You can translate a complex technical trade-off into a crisp executive update, and translate a strategic priority into a clear next step for an engineering team.
A bias for speed and a hatred of unnecessary overhead. You're energised by pressure, allergic to process for the sake of process, and would rather move fast and course-correct than wait for perfect information.
Genuine relationship-building ability. People across the organisation trust you, seek you out, and feel like you make their work easier.
Low ego and comfortable with discomfort. You lean into hard conversations, raise the awkward thing early, and never shy away from tension when it needs to be resolved. You have strong opinions and a desire to solve all kinds of problems, but you hold those opinions loosely and change your mind fast when someone has a better answer.
You're fun and a joy to work with. Hardware delivery is intense. You bring energy, humour, and optimism, and people are better for having you around.
