Government Relations Manager (f/m/d)

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to support the growth of HPE’s public sector business in Germany, including through advancing our policy priorities, engagement with Government and third-party stakeholders, narrative creation and thought leadership.
• Drive a government engagement and advocacy program for Germany, ensuring our government relations activities align closely with business goals.
• Promote the reputation of HPE with government stakeholders and position HPE as a technology and thought leader in areas of focus for our business.
• Engage in public policy discourse impacting HPE’s business, either directly as HPE or through trade associations.
• Represent HPE at external meetings relating to issues of concern for our business.
• Prepare briefings on key public policy and political issues for senior executives.
• Represent the Government Relations function at internal meetings

Education and Experience Required:

• Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years related experience or Master's degree and 4-6+ years experience.

• Expert knowledge in one or more areas: public affairs; educational programs; government relations; public policy; public relations; and/or philanthropy.
• Ability to quickly understand HPE’s strategic priorities and key policy areas, including technology policy and how engagement with Government can support growth of our business in public sector markets.
• Analyse, interpret and communicate the policy environment and provide real time updates to HPE management.
• Quickly develop a clear understanding of how Corporate Affairs fits into the broader business and build close working relationships with colleagues across Italy and the global organization.
• A key aspect of this role is working closely with team members across the International Corporate Affairs group and colleagues in the wider Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs, as well as PR, Marketing and the broader business.
