Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Global Logistics Contracts & Risk Team. The role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and transforming contracts for third-party logistics (3PL) services across multiple regions. The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with strong expertise in logistics contracting and a proven ability to drive contract lifecycle management (CLM) transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation
Draft, review, and negotiate logistics and 3PL contracts, including Master Agreements, Appendices, SOWs, Amendments, and Standalone Agreements. Data Privacy Addendums, Sustainable Fuel Contracts, technology procurement agreements.
- Legal & Commercial Advisory
Provide sound legal and contractual guidance to internal stakeholders (procurement, supply chain, finance, compliance, legal) to ensure contracts are compliant, enforceable, and commercially effective.
- Risk Assessment & Compliance
Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks. Ensure contracts adhere to international, regional, and local regulations in logistics and supply chain.
- Supplier Negotiations
Lead negotiations with service providers (logistics, transportation, technology etc.)
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Enhance contracting efficiency through automation, digitization, and adoption of CLM tools, including AI-driven analytics.
- Governance & Dispute Management
Oversee renewals, amendments, terminations, and dispute resolution while maintaining compliance with governance frameworks.
- Audit & Reporting
Support internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and proper documentation.
- Continuous Improvement
Drive best practices in contracting and contribute to transformation initiatives for stronger governance and efficiency.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Law degree (LL.B., LL.M) with 7–10 years of post-qualification experience in contract management, preferably in logistics and supply chain.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating logistics/3PL contracts (air, ocean, parcel, warehousing, surface transport).
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management transformation, including automation, digital tools, and AI-driven analytics.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with strong commercial awareness. Ability to draft, implement, playbooks and policies from scratch.
- Ability to work independently in a global, fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of working in and supporting Global contracts functions. Collaborating with Sourcing/Procurement Managers, Cross-functional teams.
- 3PL/Logistics experience is preferred
- Knowledge of procurement, supply chain operations, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with international contracting principles, trade laws, and compliance requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Well versed with MS Office tools.
- Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools including implementation, configuration support or business adoption.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled contracting tools and digital contracting platforms preferred.
