Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of global trade shows, exhibitions, internal events and a flagship 250-attendee conference. Manage strategy, budgets, vendors, international logistics, booth design, delegate experience, sponsorships, KPI tracking and post-event follow-up to drive brand visibility and lead generation across multiple markets.

We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Global Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of a world-class international events portfolio. This role sits within our Marketing division and reports to the Marketing Director.
You will take full ownership of delivering impactful global events — from major international trade shows to internal events and our flagship OZblu Blueberry Conference. This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring exceptional organisational skills, commercial insight, and a passion for delivering premium brand experiences.
The role involves regular international travel, including key industry events in:
- Europe (Berlin Fruit Logistica)
- Asia (Asia Fruit Logistica)
- USA and other global markets (IFPA and additional trade events)
In addition, there will be domestic travel for internal events and stakeholder engagements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and enjoys working across cultures and markets.
Key Performance Outputs
Global Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage the annual global events calendar
- Define clear KPIs (lead generation, brand visibility, partnerships)
- Align events with marketing and commercial objectives
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control
Tradeshow & Exhibition Management
- Deliver world-class exhibition presence at global trade shows
- Design and execute premium branded booth experiences
- Manage vendors (stand builders, AV, logistics, catering)
- Coordinate international shipping, travel, visas, and logistics
- Drive client engagement through meetings, tastings, and hospitality
- Track leads and support post-event follow-up with sales teams
Internal Events
- Plan and execute high-impact internal and stakeholder events
- Manage venues, agendas, speakers, AV and logistics
- Partner with leadership to ensure strong engagement and messaging
Annual OZblu Blueberry Conference
- Lead delivery of flagship global conference (~250 attendees)
- Oversee full delegate experience and event production
- Secure and manage speakers, sponsors, and partners
- Deliver a premium, differentiated brand experience
- Lead event marketing and post-event analysis
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric and Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Events Management, Hospitality or Business Management / Commerce
- 5–8+ years’ experience in event management, preferably in international B2B exhibitions, corporate events or conferences
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-day events (200+ attendees)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Strong experience delivering exhibition stands at global trade shows
- Valid passport (essential for international travel)
- Valid driver’s licence
