Position Details

  • Title:   Associate, Fund Accountant

  • Location:   Philippines

  • Estimated Start Date:    June 2026 (assumes 30–60-day notice with employer)

  • Target Salary:    Up to 100,000 PHP per month

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit the ability to work in a high energy environment supporting multiple clients simultaneously. 

  • Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication with responsiveness, professionalism and tact.

  • Operational Expertise: demonstrate considerable understanding of key operational functions which may include, but not be limited to:  

  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge of securities including equities, ETFs, swaps, options, fixed income, futures, foreign exchange – crypto a plus

  • Daily trade confirmation/settlement

  • Fails management

  • Daily P&L reconciliation and reporting

  • Corporate action and proxy voting processing

  • Cash/position reconciliation

  • Broker/counter-party onboarding

  • Security set-up and data integrity maintenance

  • Actively participate in daily, weekly, monthly, or as-needed virtual calls with U.S./U.K. Cartesian offices to support clients during their local business hours.

  • The successful candidate will be one of the key points of contact for all operational queries and will interact closely with clients/prime brokers/administrators and internally across the Business, Middle Office and Operations.

  • Learn and adhere to the company’s risk parameters, policies and procedures.

  • Assist team members with resolution of complex issues/problems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the alternative Investment Management industry (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Cryptocurrency) at a fund administrator or internal accounting department at an Alternative Investment fund with a deep understanding of domain knowledge and proven ability to manage teams.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent certification in Philippines.

  • CPA, equivalent accounting certification in Philippines.

  • Passionate about working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment

  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investment operations processes.

  • Hard-working, self-starter, dedicated, punctual and personable

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Strong accounting and analytical skills

Qualifications  (cont’d)

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Xero as well as knowledge and understanding of well-known Portfolio Management Systems (PMS).

  • Passionate about working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment

  • In depth understanding of investment management and alternative products

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems - quickly and competently

  • Ability to handle and protect highly confidential financial and personal information reliably and with discretion.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience in alternative investment management (hedge fund, PE, VC, crypto) at a fund administrator or internal fund accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent Philippines certification
  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification in the Philippines
  • Deep knowledge of securities: equities, ETFs, swaps, options, fixed income, futures, FX (crypto a plus)
  • Experience with daily trade confirmation/settlement, fails management, P&L reconciliation, cash/position reconciliation and corporate actions
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office and accounting software including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero; knowledge of Portfolio Management Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial and personal information with discretion
