Your Impact
The Lead Executive Recruiter is responsible for leading and executing highly complex executive searches across the enterprise, primarily supporting Director, Senior Director, and Vice President-level talent needs. This role operates as an advisor to senior business leaders and serves as a subject matter expert in executive search, talent market intelligence, candidate assessment, and leadership hiring execution. This role drives proactive executive talent engagement strategies, develops competitive market insights, and builds high-impact leadership pipelines aligned to enterprise priorities. The Lead Executive Recruiter operates independently and is expected to influence hiring decisions, execute search strategies, and elevate executive recruiting best practices across the organization.
What You Will Do
- Lead and execute complex executive searches across multiple corporate functions, including Director, Senior Director, and select VP-level roles
- Serve as a talent advisor to senior leaders by providing market intelligence, competitive insights, talent mapping, and leadership hiring recommendations
- Execute proactive executive sourcing strategies targeting passive leadership talent
- Conduct market mapping and organizational research to identify emerging talent trends, competitor movement, compensation insights, and succession-caliber talent pools
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive candidates, industry networks, and external talent communities
- Partner closely with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to define leadership success profiles, organizational needs, and long-term talent strategies
- Conduct in-depth behavioral and competency-based assessments to evaluate leadership capability, organizational fit, and future potential
- Lead executive candidate engagement, interview preparation, offer strategy, negotiation, and close processes with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Deliver a premium candidate and stakeholder experience through proactive communication, executive-level presence, and strong process management
- Recommend and implement enhancements to executive recruiting strategy, search methodology, market engagement, and assessment practices
- Maintain accurate reporting, search documentation, and ATS data, leveraging metrics and insights to inform decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 7 years of progressive corporate and/or executive search recruiting experience in complex, competitive talent markets
- 5 years of experience leading full-cycle executive or senior leadership searches from intake through onboarding
- 1 year of experience providing indirect leadership through guidance, coaching, and direction to recruiters, coordinators, analysts, and sourcing partners supporting executive search activities
- Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing hiring decisions at the Director level and above
- Strong experience developing executive sourcing strategies, market mapping, and passive candidate engagement campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to assess executive talent through behavioral interviewing, leadership evaluation, and consultative assessment techniques
- Experience negotiating complex compensation packages and managing sensitive executive-level hiring discussions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, executive presence and stakeholder management capability
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex searches leveraging ATS, CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other executive sourcing tools
