As a Manager on the Brand Public Relations team, you'll bring Lowe's to the forefront of national and local conversations through strategic storytelling and breakthrough moments that drive headline-grabbing attention, shape perceptions and build lasting relationships with customers and communities through the power of earned media.
We are seeking a media relations powerhouse and strategic storyteller with a proven track record of securing needle-moving coverage of brand initiatives to join our team. This is a highly visible role at the heart of our brand - perfect for a PR professional who is equal parts creative , strategic and collaborative .

What you will do
- Own and execute areas of the overarching PR strategy across consumer news, trade and lifestyle verticals to build consistent, strategic brand presence and maximize every brand moment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists and content creators.
- Proactively secure earned media coverage through storytelling, press releases, pitches, product sampling and creative moments that are always within Lowe's brand standards.
- Identify and drive brand-building opportunities for Marketing and Merchandising executives including awards, panels, events and earned thought leadership coverage.
- Manage reactive media inquiries and craft thoughtful responses, statements and talking points.
- Work with PR agency partners to track, measure and report on PR performance with a keen understanding and clear communication of the work's impact on driving business results and brand equity.
- Collaborate with the brand marketing, social media and creative teams across Lowe's to ensure messaging alignment and to capitalize on brand moments.
- Proactively spot trends, news moments and culture shifts and craft smart pitches that put Lowe's at the center of that story.
- Anticipate and manage brand reputation by assisting in proactive and reactive crisis communications, crafting thoughtful, on-brand narratives across channels to protect the company's reputation and align with business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- 5-10 years of Public Relations experience (agency or in-house) with proven results in PR strategy, media relations and campaign execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Agency AND in-house corporate experience
- Experience in retail marketing and/or operations
