Account Executive – ANZ Public Sector

Why We Have This Role

We are looking for an Account Executive to lead growth and sales efforts across the public utilities sector in Australia. This role is pivotal in driving revenue by managing the full sales cycle with a range of clients, including public organisations and commercial entities. Based in Sydney, you will work closely with senior decision-makers—often in HR, marketing, and brand leadership—to deliver technology solutions that help transform their business and customer experiences.

How You’ll Find Success

  • Takes initiative and works entrepreneurially to navigate complex sales cycles and diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Builds trusted relationships with senior leaders across HR, marketing, and executive teams.
  • Proven track record in driving sales of SaaS or business transformation software to corporate or public sector clients.
  • Skilled at managing pipeline and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Communicates persuasively and tailors messaging to align with client goals.
  • Collaborates effectively with marketing, product, and services teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Adapts quickly to evolving markets and client priorities.

How You’ll Grow

  • Develop as a strategic partner by engaging senior-level stakeholders across multiple industries.
  • Expand expertise in SaaS platforms that drive business transformation and experience management.
  • Strengthen skills in driving large deals and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Gain exposure to diverse client needs spanning both public organisations and commercial enterprises.

Things You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end sales activities across your territory, driving pipeline development and deal closure.
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, including HR, marketing, and business leaders.
  • Lead tailored product demos and presentations that highlight how Qualtrics solutions address client challenges.
  • Develop strategic account plans utilising strong sales methodologies to grow Qualtrics’ footprint.
  • Partner with marketing to execute demand generation campaigns and participate in industry events.
  • Stay informed on competitive landscape and evolving client needs to craft compelling proposals.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 6+ years of SaaS or software sales experience.
  • Successful track record selling business transformation or experience management software.
  • Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience engaging senior decision-makers in HR, marketing, or related functions.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and forecast pipeline accurately.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous.
