About monday.com
monday.com is the AI work platform powering the most ambitious teams. 250,000+ customers across departments use us to bring people, workflows, and AI agents together on one flexible platform where AI doesn’t just assist, it executes. We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you’re empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition.
About the Agents Ecosystem Group
The Agents Ecosystem Group builds the layer that brings external agents into monday.com as real team members — with tools, context, memory, and orchestration to execute work alongside humans. We follow the agents ecosystem closely: how agents are built, how users work with them, and what makes them actually useful. This is a fast-moving space and we work in a fully AI-first way.
Your Responsibilities
Serve as the technical leader for the external agents domain across two teams (~10 engineers) — the go-to person for technical decisions across the group and R&D, setting direction and context for stakeholders.
Own the architectural decisions for the domain: work closely with product, UX, analytics, and engineering leads to define technical strategy, and set the bar for API contracts, data modeling, and component boundaries.
Define and drive the team’s agentic development practices, including PR discipline, automated enforcement layers, and clear governance over what can be generated autonomously and what cannot.
Work hands-on in the codebase, lead technical design, and ensure production-ready, scalable code across the teams’ full stack.
Work within a tech stack that includes Node.js, Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Redis, and MySQL, in a microservices and microfrontends environment. Our external agents layer connects agents built on OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, Mistral, Cursor, ElevenLabs, and more — over MCP and provider-native SDKs.
Stay at the forefront of the evolving agents and AI ecosystem, bring new tools, approaches, and learnings into the team, and lead by example in adopting them.
Requirements
8+ years of experience building complex, distributed systems with strong full-stack depth.
Technical leadership experience (Tech Lead, Architect, or similar) with a track record of owning technical direction across multiple teams.
Proven ability to develop features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, testing, and post-launch analysis.
Passionate about both client-side and server-side development.
Strong architectural instincts: clean API design, well-defined component boundaries, and the ability to make the right call early before it becomes expensive to change.
AI-first in practice: hands-on with Claude Code and agentic development workflows, with a track record of introducing these practices in a previous role and raising the bar for how a team ships.
Genuine interest in the agents space — how agents are built, how orchestration works, and how users adopt them.
Strong communicator with the ability to drive alignment across teams and R&D without direct authority.
Prior experience building B2D (Business to Developer) products is an advantage.
