About the role .
As the Employee Services Team Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Employee Lifecycle Specialist team, ensuring work is prioritised effectively, service levels are maintained, and employees and stakeholders receive a positive customer experience. You will act as a subject matter expert across hire-to-retire processes while developing team capability, driving engagement, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
This role can be based in either our Ballarat or Melbourne office and is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About You .
What you'll be doing.
- Leading and coaching a team responsible for employee lifecycle administration activities.
- Managing daily workflow, workload allocation, escalations, and service delivery priorities.
- Supporting employee development through regular coaching, performance conversations, and objective setting.
- Driving team engagement, recognition, and a positive team culture.
- Monitoring HR service metrics and using data insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Supporting data quality and integrity across HR systems and processes.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and centres of expertise to improve processes, standardise ways of working, and share knowledge.
- Supporting key Employee Experience Centre projects and initiatives.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Experience working within HR operations, HR administration, or a shared services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or coordinate a team.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using HR systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence and data accuracy.

You'll be joining a collaborative and customer-focused Employee Services team that sits within the Employee Experience Centre. Together, the team supports employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle, delivering efficient HR services, solving problems, and continuously improving processes.
