About the role .
The National Account Executive, Coles plays a critical role in supporting the performance of the Coles Supermarkets business across in-store and online channels. Reporting to the National Business Manager, Coles, this role provides high-quality administration, analysis, planning and reporting to help deliver annual commitments across volume, net sales, trade investment and gross profit.
You will work closely with Coles, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Shopper Marketing, Category, Pricing and the broader account team to maintain service levels, strengthen execution and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
What you'll be doing.
- Support delivery of the Coles strategic plan and annual operating commitments across volume, net sales, trade investment and gross profit.
- Prepare accurate account reporting and analysis, highlighting performance trends, data anomalies, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
- Run weekly collaboration meetings with Coles, coordinate Supply Chain inputs and prepare forecast change requests as required.
- Maintain the internal trade promotion management sales planning tool and Coles retailer portal, including promotions, price changes and forecast updates across in-store and online channels.
- Support the monthly integrated business planning cycle through timely forecast communication, risks and opportunities tracking, and reporting on new product development and key activations.
- Partner with the National Business Manager and Shopper Marketing to support the e-commerce strategy, promotional plans, investment and joint business planning.
- Coordinate internal category clash checks and facilitate the monthly review meeting.
- Work with the Pricing Team to support timely claims processing and month-end trade spend reviews.
- Build productive relationships with key stakeholders across Coles and contribute to joint business and category plans aligned to category growth drivers.
- Respond to ad hoc requests and support contingency planning to keep the Coles business on track.
What you'll need to be successful.
- A degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated numerical accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to interpret data, validate results and identify anomalies.
- Ability to analyse business performance, identify priority result areas and support practical improvement plans.
- Confidence using a broad range of reporting and business tools, including Microsoft Office and ideally IRI, Quantium, Synergy, Power BI and SAP.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across customer and internal teams.
- Digital or e-commerce experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Availability for occasional interstate travel.
About the team .
This role reports to the National Business Manager, Coles and has no direct reports. You will be part of the Coles account team and collaborate closely with the National Account Manager, Retail Sales leadership, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Shopper Marketing, Category and Pricing teams. The role supports an account spanning approximately 1,000 stores and requires strong coordination across commercial and operational stakeholders.
