About the role .
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Category Manager - Indirects to join McCain's ANZ Procurement team during a period of significant transformation and growth. This role will lead sourcing and category strategies across a broad portfolio of indirect spend categories including facilities management, freight and logistics, and business services.
Partnering closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Finance, Sales and Marketing, you'll drive strategic sourcing initiatives, deliver sustainable cost savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and help shape procurement best practices across the business. This is a highly visible role that combines commercial leadership, stakeholder engagement, market insight, and strategic thinking.
About You .
What you'll be doing.
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies across indirect spend categories
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting and implementation
- Identify and deliver sustainable cost optimisation and productivity opportunities
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across ANZ to align procurement strategies with business goals
- Manage supplier performance and foster strategic supplier relationships that drive innovation and value
- Ensure procurement governance, compliance and contracting standards are maintained
- Monitor market trends, risks and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions
- Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting and cost management initiatives
- Influence business decisions through data-driven insights and commercial recommendations
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of procurement capability and best practice across McCain
What you'll need to be successful.
- Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management
- Experience managing large expenditure portfolios and delivering measurable commercial outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple business functions
- Demonstrated success in leading sourcing projects and supplier negotiations
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actions and recommendations
- Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain or a related discipline
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or a complex commercial environment will be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence and data accuracy
About the team .
The ANZ Procurement team plays a critical role in supporting McCain's growth and performance ambitions. Working as part of a broader global procurement function, the team partners closely with stakeholders across the business to drive value, innovation, supply continuity and sustainable cost advantages. This role reports to the Procurement Director ANZ and collaborates with teams locally and globally to deliver strategic procurement outcomes.
