ResponsibilitiesAs an Electrical Engineer – Plant Projects, you will:
- Act as the technical lead for electrical engineering and automation disciplines in projects involving the acquisition, implementation, installation, and commissioning of industrial equipment and production lines;
- Lead major refurbishments and retrofits of existing manufacturing equipment;
- Assess current and required machine functionality and develop effective solutions from an electrical engineering perspective;
- Support the replacement and modernization of critical electrical components;
- Develop engineering concepts and designs in collaboration with stakeholders in Brazil and Denmark;
- Support the implementation in Brazil of solutions developed in Denmark, and vice versa, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across locations;
- Collaborate with the Smart Factory team on programming and hardware-related requirements;
- Implement automation solutions, including PLC programming when required;
- Review and challenge electrical designs and technical solutions provided by suppliers;
- Prepare technical specifications for external suppliers based on stakeholder and project requirements;
- Support and execute equipment installations, including follow-up with suppliers of critical components;
- Conduct analyses and evaluate equipment performance using data and engineering expertise;
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements;
- Support updates to the Building Management System (BMS);
- Ensure project execution meets engineering, quality, safety, schedule, and cost requirements.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field;
- Solid experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing or similar industrial environments;
- Knowledge and experience working in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements;
- Hands-on experience implementing engineering solutions in a manufacturing environment;
- Proven experience working within project teams, with a strong focus on timely and effective delivery;
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production process support;
- Strong electrical design capabilities, with a focus on developing robust and effective solutions;
- Strong understanding of machine operation and process stability;
- Experience using data and engineering knowledge to analyze problems and support technical decision-making;
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese;
- Availability for national and international travel.
